Well finally have my dfd 01/07/2017!

Which will be 5 years and 7months after lbm :-/

Will do everything to try to pay it off sooner though.
Din't want my children to miss out because we've been greedy.

Mine may well change as i start maternity leave in 8 weeks which i couldnt account for.i'm going to try to not let it affect us but will also only be going back part time. However I'm hoping other areas will cost us less by not going back full time, like petrol, car maintenance, time to prepare food and plan and this will mean keeping repayments the same. Well fingers crossed anyway.

Will keep an eye as to how u get on.

We will be debt free......

Yep the journey is long but we'll get there! Good luck with baby, I think it'll all balance out like you say when you're not spending as much on petrol etc Netmums is great for bargain days out in the local area for families and budget eating too, take a look if you haven't already.

New to the site & wanting to join in on the longhaulers thread as going to be at least 36 months to clear the DEBT!!

Just saying it seems easy but I dread the months ahead although I expect it will get easier down the road.

Anyways, here's to light at the end of the debt tunnel for everyone:j

Seems a long time away at the moment and quite depressing, but I'm trying to focus on the positives, such as having paid off almost £8K since I started my DMP in 2011 and having got all the interest frozen so that all the money goes towards my debts.

looks like I will be under the magic 10k this month. Bcard hit £0 last month then I transfered £800 from Virgin because the 0% ended, so now Virgin is £0 and getting closed on Monday. I bt'd Bcard to LLoyds TSB for 13 months 0%.
5 years isn't that long to become debt free, people borrow money for a car for that length of time. good luck to all the new lbms.
