Good idea annibee. I do surveys in my lunch hour and I've just ordered my first reward - an M&S voucher that I'll be saving for Christmas. Admittedly it's taken me months but it is a good feeling to get 'paid' for answering a few questionsLong Haul Supporter No: 2780

Well I completed my first ever challenge :j. I've started loads of them but never managed to complete them so I am really happy
. I paid off over £500 in 100 days over and above my normal payments
. Going to set myself a £500 target for the next 100 day challenge as well and see if I can do that too.

OK I am slowly coming round to getting a grip with the debt. I'm here for the long haul. Can I sign up please? I have yet to sit down and work it all out - still got my ostrich head on - but this is the first step I hope. One day I may even start a diary - other demands on my time at the moment. I have spent sometime reading other threads/diaries and have got a handle on most of the acronyms/abbreviations but is there anywhere where there is a list I can refer to??Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Hello all, I dont post regularly any more but I wanted to share with folk who would understand
Been at this debt free life since 2005, when I was £33k in debt, with 3 credit cards, 3 loans and my debt hugely exceeded my income.
Today I made my last payment on my penultimate loan, meaning I have just one loan left, am down to owing £6200, and am in the wonderful position of being able to choose whether to let up and just let the loan run its course or push to overpay and get to that debt free place sooner.
I dont mean to sound smug, I want to prove you can do it - I would never have done it without the encouragement of this forum in the first 2 years when it was REALLY grim.
Hang in there longhaulers, the kick you get from getting there is a real pure high :beer:0 -

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while as I've been busy busy busy with extra work.
Because of the extra hours I'm doing I've been able to pay back the money my FIL lent us at the beginning of the year and get my car repaired without the panic I usually have trying to claw together the funding.
I've got a busy weekend now making tomato chutney, sauce, sundried toms etc to use up some of the glut of them I have
Have a good weekend
