    Hello all.

Today has been a good day in our debt journey

I sold OH's car for 900 and I was accepted for a barclaycard 0% for 17 months!!! I applied for a 3500 credit limit but Ill have to wait to see if thats what ive got

If it is then along with my ogther cc I got 10 months 0% and oh's 9 months 0% I think I may have just managed to get all oh's debts shifter to these 0% deals!!! I dont mind that its in my name now as when the 0%'s are nearing an end we'll just shift back to ones in his name.

You have no idea how good I feel Its better than christmas. I know we wont be clearing a masive amount this year because of the maternity leave/new baby/new job situation but at least I know that whatever we are paying is paying off debt and not interest :D next year when everyones back to work and we can pay more it'll be so much easie. Even without the 0%'s if we kept these cards their all 19.9% oh's lowest apr is 28% at the moment!!

obviously a money day today so im off to do the lottery lol

  • That's great Anni. At least as you say when you pay money off the cards it will reduce the balances despite not being able to overpay. Well done x

  • I am having all sorts of debt epiphanies lately. Hopefully thisis a sign that I am actually ready to slay it this time. Can't believe how much I paid last month and on 2 of the cards once the interest was added for this month my snowball went into the red as the interest was more than the payment had been. Absolutely gutting. I cant wait until I get rid of ARGOS so I can start working on these high interest cards. It is just plain daylight robbery what they charge and it's legal !!. I also was saying on my diary about blaming my debt on the fact that I only have 1 income, But on talking to friends last night I earn more myslef than htey do as a couple and they do fabulously well but have no debt whatsoever other than their mortgage. Made me realise big time that I could have that lifestyle too if I can just get rid of this noose around my neck. My own bl**dy fault mind you. Onwards and upwards :)

Hi all and especially millionaire in training. Was a regular on this thread back 18 months ago but have been absent since, probably because my DMP with CCCS is going so well. 4 years in now with an estimated DFD of Jan,2015.
Still owe £110K but started with £198k so am making good progress. Its a long haul but great when you dont hear from any creditors any more.Have managed to get all interest and charges stopped with the exception of Barclaycard. Am making formal complaints to them at the moment in an attempt to get interest stopped so all my monthly payment is now reducing the balance nicely.I have 23 creditors and so far with the exception of Barclaycard they are very supportive and obliging.
Will try to come back on this thread more often over the coming weeks. If i can be of any help to anyone please drop me a line.
