    welcome!

Great new on the jobs...bizarre how many work for social services lol! Maybe theres a link between ssd and debt lol! great news re the contract, esp as they are increasingly using the crafty short term contracts which means less employment rights for us...ho hum! i am thankful to fee ft employed and worked the same place for 11 years...mind you theyve had redundencies to try and pay the shortfall but went down the voluantary route first.

Great also that people are getting money paid off...have spent very little this month which is good! Babysitting tonight but for free so no money earned which is fine as they were very supportive of me last year and want to be able to say ta! hoping they wont be too late though as pooped!

hang in there those who are plodding/paying mins - better than paying nowt! Can understand the frustration though. Had my 0% card through and will pay a couple of grand on that. Unusually I dont need to transfer the full ammt as the other two payments on low interest so will hopefully give me some bargaining room later...we shall see!

  • Hi everyone, I hope it's ok to join? I had my lightbulb moment last week, have contacted CCCS and am now setting up our DMP. It's going to take us about 5 - 6 years to pay everything off but I'm so relieved I've faced up to it and things are moving in the right direction. I've had some great advice from some of you on DFW already so thank you!

I get paid monthly but ave other income coming in weekly and it is great for budgeting. Oterwise I would just be totally skint 2 weeks of the month :). What am I saying ?? I am totally skint!! BUt then again it is way better than homeless.

  • Im having to get used to once a month payments since there is no more CTC. In one way bad becuase there is nothing extra due soon but in another I find it easier to keep track.

  • I'm dreading that KP. In saying that when I am not getting ctc or chb then I intend getting a second job. I want to get some savings behind me and there are things really needing done in the house. I desperately need a new kitchen as mine is about 26 yrs old:eek: so you can imagine what it is like. I need a new bathroom too as I fiited one a few years ago but it was really cheap and I tiled it myself so very much an amateur job. THey will both do for now but I absolutely hate them. Takes me all my time to clean them as they dont look any better when I'm done :(. Never mind. I am a single working mum with an irresponsible ex who thinks its ok not to help out financially and I have yet to discover how to perform miracles so I need to cut myself some slack. I'll have a beautiful loo and kitchen some day :rotfl:.
