How about a mini challange to get you going. Ie weekly budget, set amount of NSDs or list x amount on ebay?

    Hi all,
I recently emptied my mothers house(she is 88) and living with us now. My garage is piled high with all things from her house that i have not been able to sort yet. So E bay may b a good idea although never used it before.
Hopefully the weather will improve soon and i can get cracking on emptying it and creating a little more income.
Did my annual budget review with CCCS today and managed to keep my monthly payment the same.
Debt free date is still Jan,2015 but time flies these days, just hoping all my creditors stay kind to me and are patient for another 4 years.
    Cheers,
    Telboy

I think maybe an ebay challenge for myself would be good, thanks positive
  • My challenge for this afternoon is to clear out the cupboard under the stairs. Am going to do that now as I know there is some stuff for e-bay in there. Just need to find a working camera after that to get the pics onto e-bay :D. Might use this week to sort it out and next weekend to list it as I am getting a new phone this week that'll have a decent camera on it.

We could do a mini challenge on here. What about getting 20 items listed before end of month??

    Anyone up for it?

Evening all. I am an AWOL member of the thread and we need to get our debt busting bottoms in gear as we have been coasting through the last couple of months.
Any sort of challenge would be great to get us back on top of the debt rather than the other way around! Half the contents of our house could be ebayed so 20 items might be what we need to start to get somewhere.

I find that the NSD (No Spend Day) challenge and the WSC (Weekly Spend Challenge) compliment each other really well. If you're coming up green on both challenges at the same time, you're doing really well. Because, not only are you clocking up lots of NSDs; on the days when you do spend, the WSC keeps you within budget, so you're not spending huge amounts on your spend days.

The guys n gals on the NSD are also really encouraging and inspiring – plus it’s really addictive!

Here are a couple of links to the beginning of both threads – hope to see you guys on there soon!
:jWELCOME TO THE FEBRUARY NSD CHALLENGE:j
Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!
