how is everyone? no one's posted for a while. Gonna make a wedding card today that I'll get a bit of money for and have won a bit on bingo/casino site

Morning guys! Feeling a bit low today. Been trying to get advice on 1 or 2 issues but feel a bit tramped down. My situation's so hard to explain but I know I can get the issues sorted that I need to, I don;t want to have to explain the ins & outs of my situation to everyone. I know people need info to advise but I just need straightforward answers!

If a cc company makes a processing error and clears your current account, leaving you unable to pay that bill and a few others, then slaps on £24 a month in charges which you refuse to pay, THEN follows up with a default, and refuses to refund charges after 12 months even though THEY WERE IN THE WRONG, surely I have a case to have the charges and default removed? I can pay off the debt quite easily and I don;t feel my credit report needs to be shared around for better advice.

So why am I being told that because of a certain situation I'm in, which is not black & white, that I have no case?! Sorry, I just feel like scum today. I can't sleep properly and I worry constantly about the debt. If the stooopid cc co would just refund the charges, tell me how much I actually owe, and remove the default from my cr, I can have the bill paid in 2 months. Why am I in the wrong?!

Sorry guys, rant over. I've just lost my confidence on it all and if I don;t rant, I'll cry!

Ooo I love making wedding cards! Don't suppose I've got much chance left of doing any now, though. Baby's arrival's geting ever closer so quickly and no-one thinks he'll wait very long! hehe

I'd tried another site as they seem to know more about defaults over there but think I may try MSE now too. I prob sound really ungrateful, there's been a site admin that's been posting constantly with advice etc. But I know I can do this and I feel doubted I suppose! Plus the whole TV license thing came up (I don;t have one, I don;t watch TV, I do not need one I have checked this on the phone AND website, and I get annoyed people tell me I need a license to watch DVDs and videos! My laptop can get live TV, so do all of us with Internet now need TV licenses, too? NO! Sorry I think I'm VERY hormonal this week! lol)

Mmm think I'll take my mum and dd to the beach today to relax. I need to chill out! hehe

Sorry to heat that things are tough for people; climbing can you contact one of teh free debt agencies or CAB for advise based on your full info? I dont think it would be wise for people to offer advice without the full facts and can understand your reluctance to post them!
Happy hope you feel better? Re money from accounts I have a separate bills account which really helps when money comes out as what is in my main account is mine - or rather for debt!
Got my first reduced pay this month but it was only a half month. Have had a small spree but now time to sit down and get to grips with stuff again as I know what is what! Thankfully I live more frugally than I did but will have to be even more careful now or Ill never hit my target to be DF by the time I am 45 - in 4 1/2 yrs. I just paid a friend off so thats over 1000 off!
Hang in there - we will get there - just have to slog away. Off to start making some jewellry as I have an order!

The CAB have told me just to pay everyone £1 a month. Which I understand is totally valid advice but not an option imho. They advised me to pay my debts/bills in full if I wish and then dispute the amount I owed. Have made myself feel even worse now by reading CAG threads and how DCAs are allowed to post on there etc. I suppose I worry either everyone with good advice will leave all the forums or the DCAs and companies we owe money to will screw us over even more. Will walk away from my thoughts toady if I can and try to get a clear head on it all and start again over the weekend perhaps. I'll be back with a more positive attitude soon I'm sure.

Good news is that I won on virgin bingo this am - logged in to play through and then close account and much to my surprise won 80+!! P_aid for wedding present and stuff for wedding Im going to on weds.
Re people who are struggling to get by PLEASE go somewhere like cccs to ascertain whether its best go go into a DMP or other option for that matter. At the end of the day they look at the facts and make a reccoemndation. They can also do the negociating for you are have more oomph than some companies and dont make money for it! At the end of the day if you only have 10 then companies cant have 20; so many people struggle on trying to pay 20 before getting help because they feel they will be failing and so get deeper and deeper into debt because of the interest...and so it goes...

I thought I needed something to remind me that my aim is to clear my debts instead of spending happy on my credit card which I am very good at. So hopefully joining in the challenges will help me on the road to being debt free.
