TEK - must be the month for that, as we just had our car MOT'd last week, and ended up paying £230 for it. We have our doubts as to whether the car will get through an MOT next year, so are already worrying about how to put money aside for another car, as we would definitely need one! I hate all these things that chip away at what little emergency funds we have!

HTGDF - your are already making good progress according to your sig, No should about it! Keep up the good work!

Did you get my email? I still never found your email *shrugging my shoulders in confusion* smiley!

Not much to report... need to get a new element for my "new" oven. Luckily it's a double oven so no rush. That's every month this year I've had to pay out for something housey - and the next 2 months have things in line (not including the new fuse box or possible new boiler!)

Probably should budget for an emergency fund then!!!

    Hey HTGDF
Have tried emailing you from a different account. Still not getting anything through on yahoo. Utterly odd! Oh well, stupid computers!

Thanks for your replies folks! The MOT actually passed,it was the service that cost the bulk of the £225, still better to keep it serviced regularly rather than have to end up scrapping it,like we had to with our last car!! About the hols, we are going abroad to a close relatives wedding later in the year!! Don't want to go into too much detail but we weren't all going to go,as it is going to be a big expense that we could've done without tbh! That said, a family member has put a big amount towards it for us as a belated wedding present. So this year will be all about trying to clear £300 a month on average, then after this year we should be able to clear much more,as we will only have one loan left out of the 3 we currently have after May next year!! Thanks for reading folks & keep chipping away!!

:j Thank you HTGDF! Got it at last. No excuse now! I reckon it was at least the beginning of February when you first told me about it :o.

    Cheers honey :).

Tek - have a wonderful time at the wedding! It sounds like you deserve it. I've just had to say no to a hen party - either a spa weekend in South of England (a fair treck from Glasgow) or a wekend in Barcelona. As lovely as they sound, if I want to go to the wedding, there's no way I can also do the hen night. Decisions, decisions huh?

If only money were no object! (Remeber and use up any old £20 notes you have lying around :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: before the become illegal tender in June!)
