Ditto Sarah I claimed from HSBC two years ago, We did close the account though. Cleared the £600 od and we had some money left over.
On a diet for food and money here. Feeling good recently except for the weight and spots so felt ready to actualy try to lose weight. Only 4 days in and doing ok. It go for money saving though no vending machine spends that add up!:j0 -

HI all!! Well not been on for a while but finding debtbusting so much of a struggle at the moment!! Finally paid everything off for the wedding so at least there's no more big expenses in that respect! Had worked out our money to the exact penny last week so we didn't go over our overdraft limit only for Sky to take our subscription out on the 15th when they nearly always take it out on the 16th:mad:! So we will be charged £35 for that. Trouble at work too, as we are on strike one day next week & probably will be on strike one day a week for the foreseeable future. I know that many won't agree with the strike and it is going to be horrible losing £100's over the next few weeks, but 75% of us voted for it, so it just shows how bad things have got at RM. Not going to go on about it though as there are alot of people in alot worse situations. OH & I have had a talk about things & will be staying in 90% of the time until the strike is all over. OH should be able to pick up extra shifts too which will help out so as long as we've got a roof over our heads & food on the table we will happy enough!! Really doing well cutting down on alcohol & OH is doing excellent with staying off the ciggies, so we will hopefully start getting our debts paid off quicker because of this. Thanks for reading folks & keep upbeat about things!! Thanks Fedup! Not really doing well to be honest at the moment but will soon start to put things right hopefully! I guess that is to be expected after paying out for wedding etc. though, just wish that we'd never gotten ourselves into this bl**dy mess in the first place, but can't let ourselves get down thinking about it too much!! Just cashed in our Nectar points at Sainsburys so a £54 shop came to £6.81!! That gives us a bit of breathing space til my next payday! All the best to you & all & keep chipping away!!DEBT AT LBM(1/7/07)-£35,052.19 DEBT (31/08/10) Average amount paid off P.M. £67.96 Paid off so far £2582.68(7.3%) Target to pay off in 2010 £2,340.14/£3,600 LH Supporter(165) DFD September 2110:eek:0

Hi hi tek, chin up re the strike and debt. I've been out of touch we had a sudden unexpected sad circumstance that meant all ha to be dropped and we had to go to Spain for a shirt while. But it's made me realise life is too short and we shouldn't beat ourselves up we just have to accept things take time so I'm dealing with the debt at a pace I can cope with and I'm not getting down about it xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Hello everyone, havent been around for some time, been busy with life I guess. I recently made a sideways move at work into a different team with a new caseload, which has meant learning some new stuff. I felt really reinvigorated by this move and it renewed my motivation and passion for the job, but now feel even worse than before I moved. I think I have moved from the frying pan into the fire! Plus there is no room or possibility of moving back, so I'm stuck and to top it off, my new boss has a range of "lovely" techniques to make you feel completely incompetent and crap. So that was not my best decision. In terms of debt busting, we are getting no where - I am still paying the DMP, which is fine, but OH is only making the minimum payments on his CCs and we never seem to have anything to pay more. i know I have been this miserable in other posts and you must be getting fed up with it, but it helps for me to have a bit of a rant, sorry. I try to keep a PMA, but at times just want to say F*** it !0
