Hi everyone,
Still chipping away on the DMP, 14 creditors just under half have accepted the DMP. Just sent off court papers that Nationwide have sent us for a ccj/charging order, not looking good. Not had much luck with payplan on the nationwide bit, but have dealt with it ourselves. Hoping when the ccj is sorted we can pay it seperate from the DMP, and treat it as a priority. Not sure what payplan will say, will have to wait and see.

I have just got off the phone to CCCS doing my review, according to the review I should now be upping my payments to my creditors by £32. Now on paper this is quite do- able, however the reality!!£23366/ £39206.92 DFD Nov 20160

I have just realised, this should bring my DFD forward from March 2015 to Dec 2014. If this is the case that means I would be able to start the new year of 2015 debt free!!£23366/ £39206.92 DFD Nov 20160

My most annoying creditor - Northern Rock sent a letter and have accepted my DMP payment for 6 months, so happy as they were phoning me at least 3 times a day, where as all my other 6 creditors didn't even ring me when DMP company got in touch with them. Mind you still getting letters from Lloyds asking me to call them and sort out 'problem'. No passing it all to DMP company for them to sort out.
Good luck everyone.Long Hauler No: 51

Hi guys
We all have some way to go here, I just wondered how do you keep your spirits up? I'm usually really good, but I've had a couple of off days and I'm feeling a bit low. It was my birthday on Monday and I spent 5 hours baking cakes and cookies so it would save me money on buying cakes for the office. In the morning they tasted stale and although I knew they were fine I couldn't take them in. I know it should not matter - after all I went to a great deal of effort - but I ended up buying cakes for the office. plus DH muttered happy birthday just before he dropped off to sleep - I know he didn't mean it but I am not feeling my best.
I've had some of my creditors asking for more money and having to go through the rigmarole of doing my soa over the phone. Plus one of my ccj's has gone wrong and they are putting a charging order on the house. it's sorted now, but I just want the whole thing to be done and dusted.
I am putting every spare penny towards clearing the debt and I am lucky that I have a good income to be able to do this, although the job does entail really long hours. What can I do that doesn't cost anything to cheer my self up? Please keep it clean!
I know I sound like a complete whingebag but I spend all my time being strong for other people - I just want to be able to say how I really am feeling. I'm sure I will feel better with it off my chest.

Hi cdj
Doing things for free how about, going for walks in autumn is lovely, if you have a dog they would benefit as well if you don't I bet there is a doglet near by that would love to go with you. I find having a dog gives a point to the walk. Have you got any craft materials in the house, could you make things for Christmas like hand made cards. How about looking into deals on quidco etc for DVD subscriptions with cash back I understand work out free once you have your cashback. Trips to museums, art galleries ect can be free depending on were you live.
To keep your spirits up could you work into your budget, even if a fiver a week, some money for totally frivolous spend (chocolate or alcohol for example, or trip to the cimema) this could help with the long haul but not impact to much on the speed of paying back.
Best wishes
