Hello again everyone, had a bit of a spend today but money was there, we were gonna treat my son by taking him to see the fireworks but as we don't have a car and have to walk we didn't realise how far the display was so we've cancelled that and decided to treat him to a McDonalds instead. We've spent about £30 today, which could have been used to pay a little off our debts but a little treat once in a while is ok.
We had a tour of the local maternity unit this morning so in true dfw'er fashion, we got a taxi there but walked all the way back, saving ourselves a few bob, we would have walked there but it was at 10am, we would have had to leave the house at 9am and we had to ask a friend to look after our son and couldn't be too cheeky with asking them to come round at the crack of dawn.
I'm still waiting for an ebay cheque for just over £10, not including postage so I will be a good girl and put that towards the debts xx:j Bankrupt 6th October 2009 :j:beer: To a Debt-free Future :beer:0 -

Well I have had a good few days but nearly all my wages gone already!
Have managed to pay a bit more off my debt and all big bills for the month have been paid. Have got 4 mystery shops lined up for next week - so no lunch breaks for me!
Had a mystery shopping payment and a quidco payment go in and have paid that off my Capital One card (thats the next on my list with a whopping 30.3% APR! Balance roughly £600.00
Have been saving for christmas all year with work and that is paying out in 2 weeks have managed to save £830.00 (the first time in my life christmas will be paid in cash. Its a good incentive to keep Christmas costs low as whatever I dont spend will go off the bills. OH and I have agreed to buy the kids less this year as we go completly overboard usually (they are only 4 and 2).
How is everyone else managing Christmas to keep Christmas costs low this year?
Just off to update sig. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

:rotfl: no, lol, they are good boys, a little hyper and on the go 24/7, yes that does include my hubby, but never a dull moment in the freeman household.
Fishface, I'm due on Boxing Day, so just over 7 weeks left, xx:j Bankrupt 6th October 2009 :j:beer: To a Debt-free Future :beer:0 -

I've been putting money aside for a couple of months now - and selling other stuff to try and break even - part of the "Jamtart ebay christmas neutral thread" too, some people are doing so well. We also agreed here that we're not really doing presents for those outside the main family. So, only my daughter, partner mum and dad get pressies. Unfortunately both partner and daughter have birthday next week too. That and I've slightly dictated who is to buy what for my daughter (based on their budget) so that she only gets stuff she needs / wants.
Havent managed to do my finances yet, got washing coming out my ears, tomorrows task I think.0 -
