HTGDF - Congratulations! Glad you had a great day.
TEK - Good luck! Hope everything goes well and enjoy the honeymoon.
Things chugging along here, I'm two weeks into having a 2nd job, paid in cash each week so had a couple of trips to the bank to put money *in* - such a rarity!! But feels good, and have already paid above minimum amount on all cards this month. So fingers crossed the extra hours don't kill me and I can continue to pay off extra each month.
KP - good luck with the taking back control, being organised can be tough sometimes, the food thing makes a huge difference I think.
Keep up the good work.

Hi everyone, I've not been here for a long while as things were going well, albeit very slowly. I've now slipped a bit on the 'not using allowed overdraft' and didn't make as much headway on the 0% cards as I'd hoped, so I will have to calculate what the monthly payments will be once the 0% runs out
On the other hand I've not touched my £2 and 50p jar - touch and go for a while though and am looking forward to breaking the sealed bottle at the end of December.
Since I started on this 'clear debts before my 50th' road in January, I've switched leccy/gas companies, now cycle to/from work every day, revised my food shopping downwards and reduced weekly takeaways to fortnightly or even (whisper) monthly  I do have times when I slip, but I'm ok with that now. I think it helps that I live on my own so the only person who suffers (or not) is me and I've warned my family and friends that visiting in the winter means travelling with winter woolies and/or snuggling under one of my blankets as I'm on a mission to reduce my heating bill. Fortunately having had the boiler serviced and radiators bled means that is achieveable, as it turns out not a few of them were filled with air rather than water (hadn't been bled in 2 years).
Had to alter my DFD as I finally calculated my 50th is in 2013 and not 2012- clearly the 21st century and I do not get on
Hugs to all and keep on moving onwards and downwards (DFD). We are further along than we think :TThe 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420
