Hi everyone and welcome to the new faces. Well nothing has changed for us at the moment. We are about to visit my family in Cornwall for a week and so this will only cost us our petrol - havent seen them for a while, so looking forward to this. i have a few things i want to put on ebay and maybe get enough stuff together for a car boot, but aside from that we are only making the DMP payments on my debts and only the minimum payments on OH's credit cards.Its like taking one step forward and 2 back at the moment. Hoo hum x0

Hi all! Just a quick update for the end of the month. Managed to clear over £700 this month, which is great considering we had a weekend away & I haven't been doing much overtime. The next couple of months will be a little more difficult with paying the rest of the wedding off etc. but aiming to be around the £32k mark by September, then hopefully we can start to shift up a gear! All the best to you all, back soon!!DEBT AT LBM(1/7/07)-£35,052.19 DEBT (31/08/10) Average amount paid off P.M. £67.96 Paid off so far £2582.68(7.3%) Target to pay off in 2010 £2,340.14/£3,600 LH Supporter(165) DFD September 2110:eek:0

Managed to clear over £700 this month,
Great news :j:beer::D:j0 -
Thanks KP, I was surprised that we cleared that much to be honest, OH's wages from going full time really helping out. Can't get complacent though as we know that the next 2-3 months are going to be really expensive. It does give us alot of comfort though knowing that if we are sensible then we can start to pay off alot more most months than we have been doing! All the best & thanks again! Hope everyone else is well!! Chin up ISOM, I go through phases where I think s** it too!! Definately need to look at doing a new budget, as alot of what we have paid off is due to the mortgage rate being low & OH doing extra shifts & me still getting a bit of overtime. Done another SOA based on both our basic wages & the worst case scenario is that we would have £1 left over to pay extra towards debts! At the moment though our minds are working overtime with paying for wedding etc. so will just keep plodding along til after wedding! Hi all,
things slipped a bit here too unfortunately. Went on holiday (all nicely budgeted for) but car broke down, and the cost of our camping trip doubled after fixing it! Plus car tax, and another couple of essential expenditures. Ah well. Next month... I start looking for a second job tomorrow, just something part time to try and ramp things up a bit.
Hope most others are doing better!
