welcome to telboy - lots of us started with big numbers like that so don't worry

    Hope everyone is doing ok

Millie - I always read your posts and think you are my twin in a parallel universe - my hubby is exactly the same so I do have to control the finances - he is getting better though!

Have been a bit half hearted for the past year but in the past few months I seem to have got a new lease of life and am reducing the debt at about £1000 per month - i am ignoring how much the interest is on cards though - like Happy - I have to just plug away and not count the cost of the interest I am paying or I would really beat myself up for being so stupid!

Next week will be doing a stack of ebaying to raise some more and clear more debts!
Back to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak

Thanks to everyone who posts comps and help

Hi guys, I'm still here, not been on here for a bit.

I received a letter from M+S Money telling me they were putting the APR rate up to 23%. Thanks!

Not managing to make much progress on debt busting as I am just trying to keep my head above water at the moment. Altho I got my gas and electric bill and it's the lowest it has ever been! That cheered my up as it is less than half of the last one! I've made a note of all the tips to keep if off during the autumn!

I have set myself a target of paying off the CC in the next 4yrs. I'll be well pleased if I do this and if and when I get a bit of compensation it is going to pay some of the CCs off.

Feel a bit downheated really about the little progress I am making. At least I'm not adding to the CC as I 'm not spending on them.

I thought about trying a BT on my HSBC card from the MS card to get th APR down?

On the plus side I have managed a fairly money neutral birthday present for my brother some things bought with ebay earnings and made up a nice little hamper for him.Hopefully he will like it.

I'm thinking much more carefully about present buying for other's - carefully about money spent and what it actually means, whether they want it or not!

I'm wondering whether to make a start on a crochet blanket for my mum for Christmas (altho she may think I'm making her older than she is!) I'd like one!!

Were are my manners? Welcome to all the newbies, jump on the train! Enjoy the ride!
