Hello everyone and welcome to the newbies. Hope you are all enjoying bonfire night. not much going on round here so the pooch hasnt been too stressed. In terms of the debt busting, things have been quiet in the dub household, carrying on pretty much as normal. trying to stay positive and not let things get me down. I had a day off today with my DS and spent some time thinking about how to improve the organisation at home, going to make a concerted effort to return to meal planning, stockpiling and generally have the house better organised in an attempt to save money. Didnt get anyway in terms of thinking of ways to make more money, I have some extra money in my November pay packet which is earned from doing some sessional work and this will pay for Xmas. As much as I want to earn more by doing sessional work, it is hard to balance with not getting over stressed and taking on too much. Oh the work/life balance, I never seem to get it right!
ISOM - I am still plodding on with x stitch, may take some time.
Remember everyone PMA and think of the hare and the tortoise, there is nothing wrong with taking longer to reach the finish line. x

Hello everyone, pg - congratulations. Please post a pic in due course. Well we are now 6 weeks from Xmas, still not bought any pressies or any Xmas food etc. Now will have to wait until we both get paid on 28th and then go on a mad rush around the shops x Money wise it much the same as ever, once all the bills have been paid, we have very little. When I am paid on 28th I will be getting extra, which is mileage and a sessional report that I am owed, this will be paying for Xmas, so hope I get it all back. Take care everyone, PMA x

Stay positive Dubgirl. It is so difficult at times & what we thought would be a good month is turning into a bit of a nightmare. Had to have some work done on bathroom & kitchen, as water was coming through yet again! Spent around £60 on materials. Haven't a clue what my mate will charge, but I don't think it will be too much & the problem should be fixed once & for all! Also spent £40 on materials to fix paintwork on car, where some idiot scraped it a couple of months ago whilst trying to park behind our car. Don't think we'll come in below £30k before the end of year now, so hope to get things back on track in January. All the best to everyone.
