always room for more clarab!! 151 for you! Youre doing really well but can understand it getting you down - its hard when youve got loads to pay off which is why I started the thread! There is no quick fix alas and us longhaulers do have a tendency to slippage me thinks as its hard to get the balance when theres so long to go!
Hello piquant...hard when jobs are uncertain and I am in the fortunate position of being in a job/line of work that ever has redendencies and always understaffed so always a job...
Good that youve made a decision ltm...sometimes just thinking these things through is exhausting isnt it!
Yes ISOM, I know what you mean! Had my Brother around today & he went for his medical this morning. Still curious to find out the ins & outs & he told me that he won't get holiday pay, so there's another factor for me staying put!

Happytogetdebtfree keeping my fingers crossed for you, hope you get an interview, and the job!

I was so stuffed with cold yesterday I stayed at home. I decided to look at part 2 of my debt journey, the loans!! The figure in my signature is only the credit cards - only, she says laughing in a slightly hysterical fashion.... I've discovered I'm paying PPI on one of them to the tune of 52.56 a month. So I came to work ready to write letters at lunchtime to discover I've left the paper with the all important identifying loan numbers at home....duh

The plan was to cancel the PPI payment going forward and under a separate letter claim back the last 3 years payments as I was unaware it was an optional extra at the time.

Don't have a printer at home, so I know what I'll be doing Monday lunchtime:rolleyes:

  • Hi all

After the excitment of being debt free by end of October, it was typical s*d's law time - our car blew up (well, sort of) and was beyond repair, meaning that instead of being debt free by now as planned, we've had to take out a loan for a new car

On the plus side, the £2321.60 from our last remianing loan is still going to be paid in full this month from our savings as planned, meaning that as of 1st December our debt will be £6629.35, with a DFD of November 2011. Also on the plus side, we have a lovely new car, which was essential what with our family due to expand anyday now.

So anyhoo, I will be around for much longer than I expected, but at least my debt is under control and this time I actually have something to show for it!!!

Hope everyone is ok on here - I notice the 8 weeks to Xmas thread above, I'm sooo excited!!!

Take care all - it will probably be another month beofre I post again *hangs head in shame* but I will be keeping on the DFW wagon I promise!

    Love PGrrl x

  • oh pg did I miss a pg bump there or did I misread the "expanding the family" as being sommat else?!!
sure is a long way to go black taxi but at least we're on the right track eh!! A somewhat "oh f***" month for me...realised that I spent over 200 on petrol last month which explains why I'm so skint!! Will get it back but theres a gap between then and now but also found out that we'll get backdated some of th epay rise thats yet to be agreed in Nov...but thats gone as having 400 of work done on the house and will need two fillings...swings and roundabouts eh!! plod, plod...determined that Christmas will be cheap though!

  • Hi, guess this is a good place to start the long long road to freedom. Feel somewhat in awe of how you guys are dealing with the same issues. Good luck to everyone and may we all be debt free soon.
