QUOTE:- Unit rate (per kWh) 17.037p
we have charged customer 24.91p per day
Difference of 7.873 p per day
Your opening reads 97512 date 15/11/2018
your closing reads 104339 date 14/03/2018

    Total usage 6887 units
    Difference of 7.873 p per day x 6887 units = £542.21 extra on the bill ?

No -its not a difference on the p/kwh rate but on the daily standing charge ie 119 days @ (24.91-11.76) p = £15.76 -the difference from the £15.78 is due to rounding somewhere -sorry you aren't due £542 back -at least not from the overcharge of standing charges:)

So Ive had a couple of phone calls from Shell and Ive requested a written bill from them which hasn't arrived.
They have confirmed there is nothing more they can do and I must accept my bill and have said they can sort out some sort of 'payment plan.'
As far as they are concerned they have 'closed' the complaint.
They still have given me any explanation to the huge increase in charges from the Usio quoted price to the FU price.

It looks like we have had a final bill from Shell.
What a mess!. They confirmed readings they would use and then billed for different.
They have credited other bills plus another separate credit.
The new bill states "gas only" but is a total that should include elec as well electricity.
    It's still about £20 over.

What an absolute mess if a company

I got thoroughly fed up with them esp. as I had moved from FU to One Select who also went bust:eek:

In the end, (using Messenger for communications with their Customer Services )I had about 4 different proposed changeover & final readings!! and two different rates of s/charge for the period I was with them - the ones they ultimately used to bill on ,were actually in my favour by ~ £24 - they sent me a cheque for ~ £8 when I reckoned I owed them ~ £16 - but I'd lost the will to live by then ,being embroiled with Together Energy who (believe me!) are even worse:mad: At least I managed to communicate with First Utility!

so I've totally had enough with FU shell.
ive agreed on £50 a month for the next 2 years to pay them off.
The most unorganised, shambolic service Ive ever received.
And they wonder why people don't switch supplier very often !

Im with BULB now and they are miles better
