Loved that last reply and totally agree
Ive had a member of the FU Resolver team on the phone to me this week trying to be very nice and sort out 'my' bill problems.
I let him patter on for a bit and then raised the fact that they have billed me 25p a day standing charge when they stated in an earlier e mail it was 11p per day.
I then mentioned the fact that they were charging me way more per month than I had agreed to with Usio. He then kicked back saying I was a heavy electricity user blah blah blah.
He has agreed to call me next week with an updated bill.
I have not yet told him that my agreed monthly debit with Usio was £155 per month based on my meter readings. How they can come back with charges of £345 per month for two months and then a £245 per month is just robbery.
Can I escalate this to Ofgem as these costs are a rip off and I never agreed to go to FU in the first place.0 -
A couple of weeks ago I received the FU final bill after 3 months of waiting. As others have stated, this bill was full of errors, such as standard charge daily rates more than double the agreed tariff, incorrect dates, double charging for units (previously charged on an earlier bill) because of incorrect meter readings plucked out of thin air. After spending over an hour on the phone explaining the errors, I've come to the conclusion that they have no clue about the arrangements made during the transfer. Only today I was asked to supply them with the FU mail that set out the tariffs. And still they cannot see the errors which are staring them in the face.0

Just got my final FU bill, having raised the issue of incorrect meter readings at the changeover from Usio - the "bill" has gone from a debit of ~£26 -to a credit of £8 !! A quick look suggests that they have absolutely NO IDEA what they are doing! I'll have to study it more carefully in the morning:eek:0

On further inspection, FU have billed us for part of what was on the final reading on Usios bill.
I have the correct prices we should be charged, but can anyone confirm the standing charge daily rate? It was Usio price fix to April 2019.
We never received an email from FU with the new tariff standing charge rate (First Usio April 2019). Can someone confirm those please?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

For leccy the published s/c was 13.04p/day HOWEVER as others have said ,they have charged me a higher rate because (they say) I didn't set up a DD - this was 26.21p/day for cheque payment. Can't help with gas s/c.:(0 -

Ah I see, just looked, ours is down for cheque payment on the bill, but we paid a payment by direct debit?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Have just (with great difficulty) disentangled the latest "final" FU bill.:T
1. They have changed the start read - but now instead of being lower than the final Usio read (leading to double charging on the previous bill) it is ~ 169 kwh higher!!
2. No change to the carried forward credit from Usio ,which should really be lower (if the final Usio read was increased to match the new FU initial read !!)-wonder if Usio administrators will chase for the difference:(
3. The standing charges from the date Usio went bust to 3rd November are at the lower DD rate -from 3rd to the date I left ,they have charged at the higher cheque rate!! Can't really argue as in one of the emails I sent to FU I did say I WOULDN'T set up a DD.
4. Altho' the Customer Services agent was suggesting a higher final FU read when I contacted them, on this latest bill it has remained unaltered. Wonder if their proposal was rejected because the start figure with the next supplier was "verified" ??
This has all resulted in a small bill credit from FU of ~ £8 whereas before they showed a debit of £26 ,and I calculated I owed them ~ £17 on actual meter reads -WHAT a mess :rotfl:0 -
For the attention of northwest1965 and maybe others
Electricity Standing charge (per day) 12.86p
Unit rate (per kWh) 17.300p
Gas Standing charge (per day) 10.14p
Unit rate (per kWh) 3.701p
The rates included above are based on the assumption that you’ll be paying by Direct Debit and will not require paper bills. Paying on receipt of your bill or requesting paper bills will increase your rates, as set out here. Once we’ve received details of your previous energy usage from Usio’s administrators, we’ll be able to give you a personalised price projection. We’re also working to confirm your payment details so we can honour any credit balance and set up your new Direct Debit.
Please PM me if you need the "here" link - I'm not allowed to include hyperlinks0 -
Seem to be getting no where fast with FU, they want to see a final bill from Usio. We were sent a final energy statement which was paid. They are querying why it has estimated readings?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0
