It *does* sound good, Cheery - I'm glad the car started without a jump, and that farmer was very kind to ring you. Community, hey, you can't beat it. Have a lovely Friday2023: the year I get to buy a car7

Cettainly can't beat it! Glad we didn't need him today though.
Been to town to get paint - bedroom is going a combination of retro orange and gold 😂😂 Mr Cheery's aesthetic sense for interior design is far more adventurous than mine, but I always love the results so am going with it 😂
Picked up the other car from the garage, passed MOT with just a couple of minor things and advisories, so all good.
Home now, just going to update my spreadsheet, will report back...9 -
OK, extra spending today:
£63 paint etc for the bedroom
£84 plasterboard and battens to finish kitchen ceiling, delivered tomorrow
So total cost of project now stands at £30,535, and so far we've paid out £15,314.44.
Getting there!10 -
Glad that the interview seemed to go well Cheery (and that the interviewers didn't see you get locked in!), hope that you get the result you want.
Your kitchen fund is coming along very nicely.
LOL at your FIL's belated wedding present. We got married in 1984 and my MIl promised us a gift 'later'. It never happened . . .
Some of you guys obviously have very long hair! Mine is a couple of inches above my bra strap and probably as long as I want it at my age. I can't bear it around my neck and back in bed, so it's always tied up at night.
It's not difficult!

Thanks to Mr Chigle, we have a deep fuchsia pink hallway - that colour would never have crossed my threshold, but it works!

Ha! Our old living room was dark red 😂 walls, curtains, furniture, light bulbs, books (yes, only red ones) 😂 It was great 😁
Bedroom was a fetching shade of peacock for a long time, but we painted it extremely boring pale grey to sell the house (I actually preferred the grey 😂 )7 -
Wow - you are all so brave with your use of colour! My preferences are decidedly boring by comparison...
...if I had my way, the whole house would painted heritage cream with white trim...
Currently we have a lovely tiled bathroom in various shades of grey, which I love, but for some reason has a hideous sunshine yellow accent wall which has to go! I'd be happy with white instead! The OH has other ideas...
The kitchen cabinets are nice calming cream, but again the former owners love of colour means the walls are a hideous cornflour blue.
The living/dining open plan room has steel grey accent walls and steel grey blinds which the OH loves & I can tolerate. His suggestion to cover the accent walls with wallpaper instead made me cringe - LOL
Having only just moved in recently, I sense we will be having many hours of debate before making any aesthetic changes to the house!
