Cheery's country living adventure

No, it's not sticky - it's like it's stained the tiles.
The pale one below the one with the sponge on has been cleaned 3 times with the expensive tile cleaner - a bit cleaner but not exactly the miracles that were promised! 🙄😂

How about trying some white Vinegar Cheery. Maybe that would help.

Thanks edwink - I did think that but there are a lot of dire warnings about using acidic cleaners on terrazzo 🙄
We have had success with Mr Cheery's sanding machine, but it took a long time for each tile. Does give hope that there might be something more industrial that we could hire for half a day to do the lot though! Investigations continue...
Of course we could cover them up, but they're really quite ludicrously jolly and we quite like them so it seems a shame 😂😂 (you can see where we've laid the kitchen out in masking tape) 😂
You can just see they're blue/black/white at the other end of the room 😂 and there's a rather problematic bit in the middle where we took the giant chimney out and the last builders filled the hole in very badly with extremely dusty cement - still in discussion about what to do with that... 🙄7 -
Sand down the cement and paint it to match the terrazzo! Or see whether you can get a few more tiles online to match.7

Wow, that's a brilliant kitchen floor Cheery. I Love it! Hope you find something that does the job.

Cheery - have you tried 'the pink stuff' paste? - its non-toxic, cheap & around our house seems to lift every stain we've used it on. Living in an old place means everything is old and discoloured.
Spread it on like thin cake icing, walk away for 15-20 minutes, scrub a bit with a soft bristle brush and a bit of water then wipe off with a sponge and water.

I've used brick acid for my porch tiles. They are ceramic from this 1920's build. They have lifted it substantially although not perfect. The brick acid seemed to fuzz away bits of plaster and paint and surface grime. I watched a youtube video on cleaning/ restoring old hall tiles and this was what he used. Recommended by our plasterer too. Was around a tenner from amazon. However you may want a more natural product.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20227
