Morning MSE chums! It's the start of my weekend
And I've celebrated with my customary pancakes, which had the double effect of making me cheerful, and using up three of the giant egg mountain that is threatening to take over.
Blog post done, photos sorted out, and banks/YNAB sorted too, with MB whirring along at the side of me. £12 up at the minute today - but I was £25 up earlier this morning so I'm not holding out much hope
Nowt else to report I don't think, except that it's been snowing, and I saw an owl fly through the garden earlier this morning, most exciting! Windy and vile, and I'm planning to stay inside for as much of the day as I can manage. I'm meeting a pal for a cuppa later - we were going to go for a walk although given the weather it looks like we'll each have to stay in our own cars and shout through the windows...
Also need to make jam with the gooseberries I uncovered at the back of the freezer, sort out the freezer door seal, do some washing, and get as many bits of plasterboard on the ceiling as I can. And maybe another tip trip, we'll see. Surely at some point we'll run out of stuff to throw away?!

Yum, pancakes, what style did you have and what toppings? I only have treat breakfasts at the weekend, so I am going to enjoy you enjoying yours 😃
The weather here is windy and rotating bright sunshine, heavy rain and hail, definitely an inside day.
Enjoy meeting your friend even if you end up sitting in adjacent cars, as they say, it is good to talk.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Three days off, hurray. I bet you can find a carpet castoff too
Enjoy the friend meeting - now I have my first prospective trip opening up, I'm feeling sort of giddy
which isn't at all silly, oh no, or what I expected

Feeling quite giddy myself KC!
I generally have a Joe Wicks recipe - blueberry protein pancakes. So no actual toppings - you microwave blueberries and honey, and kind of dollop them onto the pancake mix as it's cooking so they cook with it. Most jolly. Usually I have marzipan protein powder which is most tasty, but I've run out so only had vanilla today...5 -

Well, my planned trip to see my friend didn't work out - the cafe was shut!! And it was in the middle of nowhere so no others to go to, and my friend had rather dimly forgotten she'd taken the car for an MOT a few days ago so we couldn't even drive to a different cafe. Walked round the village in circles a couple of times (it's a small village 😂 ) then she made me a cuppa and we stood on the pavement watching her chickens through the fence 🙄 then it started hailing 🙄
Picked up prescription, and demolished some chocolate, but I'm still quite grumpy and not sure how to turn myself round today. Ideally I'd sit in a cafe with a book for a couple of hours 😕 But it's too cold to be outside, and I could do with a wee, so I guess I'll just go home, and maybe sit with the chickens for a bit...7 -

Sounds like sitting in front of the fire with a cuppa, a slice of cake and a good book are in order 🤗
