Thank you lovely folks xxx I will likely share more as we find out more, but I don't want to do much in the way of speculating on here - there's enough of that going on in real life 😕
For now, trying to focus on the practical things, the things in my control. Gosh I wish we could nip out to the cafe for a change of scene though 😕
Anyway, enough gloom. I shall try to retain some semblance of cheeriness as much as I can. And that starts with a good nights sleep!
Grateful today for nice colleagues, for a bit more warmth, and for hefty medication making things a little easier.12 -

Sorry to hear things are unsettled at the moment @Cheery_Daff. I hope Mr Cheery gets a diagnosis soon and it's good news.
Take very good care of yourselves.

Thank you, all you lovely people, your good wishes and kind thoughts are very much appreciated xxx
Nothing much to report. We have been to the supermarket, and used our covid study vouchers so a trolley full of stuff for £3.91. I've bought myself a few ready made meals - not something I usually do (I didn't even know where to look in the shop!) but I've found myself struggling to even bother making an omelette at the minute and I can't survive on porridge alone, so... picked up a couple of pizzas, a pasta thing, and some veg curries with ready cooked rice - all involving at least SOME veg which will be a distinct improvement!
Heating engineer said he can come a week on Saturday - don't think I'll get anyone quicker than that so I'm going to say yes.
Taking Friday off again this week, and tomorrow is payday, so going to rake through the finances in the light of current situation and see what's what...7 -
I love this Cheery!Cheery_Daff said:...I didn't even know where to look in the shop!...
In a similar boat here - I've shopped online for so long, that when we occasionally went to a shop (prior to the pandemic) I would nearly end up in tears every-time. I'm lost without the ability to type in a key word and have everything appear magically in front of me! Who knew that rice can be found in three places in the shop and that desiccated coconut was to be found in the baking section and not the fruit section - or even that gin and tonic are in two different aisles -
- you drink them together - surely they should live on the shelf together? 4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
