All good
and I get the impression you're pretty good on exercise, Cheery, between the walks you take, the DIY and the chickens? Parkrun won't be happening, of course, but otherwise, that part of things sounds pretty good, no?

We're trying to do at least 30-60 mins of walking a day KC, but I know it's not enough for me, especially when I spend most of the day sitting at a desk. It'll get better in the summer when I'm in the garden more, but I desperately need something more. Going for a longer walk this afternoon so that will help, but need to at least do some more stretching, I'm in danger of doing myself a mischief with the amount of sitting down I'm doing 🙄
The sun has been shining today, and I went out before work and finished the last bits on the chicken run extension, so I m delighted that they've had more space today, and more sunshine and fresh air (the walls of their main enclosure are mostly windows at ground level, which is great because it keeps the worst of the weather out, but doesn't give them as much fresh air as I'd like). Hopefully they've had a nice day 😊
Nowt financial to report, will do monthly finances once I've finished work and been for a walk.6 -

Some excellent ideas there greenbee. I did make a standing desk (in my case just a mini table that goes on top of the normal desk) and am trying to use that for a couple of hours a day which helps. Not tried a treadmill though! I was in a meeting with someone on a cross trainer the other day, looked like he was punching us all constantly 😂
Afternoon yoga is a good plan too RT. I keep meaning to do it and failing...
I do need to take it more seriously though. I'm 40 years old and currently feel about 87 😮
We did go for our longer walk tonight, which was nice, although because covid swab dude was late we didn't leave til 5 so quite a lot of it was in the dark. We did about an hour and a half though, and got back in the starlight which was lovely.
Eaten better today too. Smoothie for breakfast, porridge for lunch, and I cooked noodles, veg, lentils etc for tea.

Right, finances sorted and pesky bank accounts swept back into order.
I always forget that there are no water bills in Jan and Feb (why??) so I've swept the grand total of £28 to the mortgageOur water bills are so low because of course we have a septic tank - which I MUST get emptied this month
So everything is sorted and looking healthy. I agonised for a while over a 'spare' several hundred quid I had in the account - why?! But then I realised when I'd closed the post office account, I'd put a round number into premium bonds, leaving the 'spare' in the main account as a kind of float - with all the drip feeding into savings account, the main account sometimes looks a bit squeaky at the end of the month, which I do NOT like, so I'd decided to leave a few hundred from the savings in there to stop that.
What else? Got a refund for the cafetiere that arrived as a box of broken glass last week - there was a question about whether we'd need to post the broken one back (really?!) so I need to log in and check that. Also had a partial refund for something else I ordered last week which is annoying - I'd ordered several small things at once, and only gone with that seller because they also had this particular thing that they've now not sent. Hey ho.
Nothing else financial to report I don't think. Made enough tea to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Put some insoles in my new boots which are now cosy and fit perfectly well so that's good. And other than that... nope! Time for a hot chocolate to celebrate I think!6 -
I love the sound of your walks in the dark, Cheery - I imagine you as being quite high up, and sometimes having very good views of the surrounding valleys, twinkling lights and all
Finances sound excellent too!

An excellent idea RT - I've got a bottle of amaretto on the go at the minute so I do occasionally add that, but it was just a mix of hot choc and horlicks last night 😁 Went to bed and slept all the way through so it obviously worked!
We are indeed pretty high up KC and do have some expansive views. I do love to see the hills and the sky, and even Mr Cheery was appreciating the openness last night (he's not usually much of a one for scenery). I've been trying to upload a pic but the internet isn't playing ball this morning - I'll try later, and in the meantime get this posted before it disappears too!
