Delurking to ask what you use chickpeas for? I use them to add to the slow cooker in chilli's but that's about it. Would love to have some other ideas for them.MFW - Original balance 28/08/2014 £52850Original MF date: 2049:eek: Aiming for: 2025 Current MFD: 2030

- we make this Taco Supper Skillet at least once a month and substitute Chickpeas for the Kidney Beans (and of course we don't use brand name seasoning, but the super market equivalent at a fraction of the cost!)

Thank you shangaijimmy and please do share your scenarios! It does all help to get the cogs whirring.
bubblycrazy, I just bung chick peas in everything, usually stir fry or curry. Mr Cheery will just rinse and eat the cold with chilli sauce on 😂
We just nipped to a nearby market town to pick up some chicken bedding. We usually order it online from the charity we got the chickens from, and they deliver it. I'd checked prices in this shop a while back and it was maybe a couple of quid cheaper - not worth it as it's a 20 mile round trip that we wouldn't normally do very often.
However today is was cheaper than I'd remembered at £16, and the charity is charging £24! Quite a difference, and worth making an extra trip for, and going to a different town today, even though it's actually only a couple of miles extra in a different direction, get quite exciting!
Just having a cuppa while I wait for the thrill to subside 😂 and also wait for covid swab woman to turn up (or get lost, there's a 50/50 chance 😂) and then I'll go and sort the beakios out.7 -

But then they could just scroll on by, as I'm sure many of them do!
And I love seeing other people's workings out - and really, if you can't post financial wafflings here, where can you?!
In between that, some washing, several days of washing up, and I'm going to attempt to get started on plasterboarding the kitchen ceiling..
You really do need a dishwasher.... 🤣Lightbulb moment and house renovation debt 01.01.19 18500, 01.01.20 £11450, 01.01.21 £4980, 19.07.21 nil.

Mine involve cake rather too often
Done a lot of digging out of the chicken run today, removed four barrowloads of mud and wood chippings and used them as mulch elsewhere, and replaced with clean chippings. Chickens had a great time getting in the way of my fork and finding worms 😂
Cold and worn out now so I've sneaked up to bed for a nap 😂7 -

I wonder if lack of chickpeas is due to greater demand during veganuary?6 -
