Good point BB
I confess there were moments were even I'd forgotten what happened and had to read on to find out
I'm delighted to report that we've been back to the cafe and paid off our £6.75 tab
phew! It's even worse than when I owed 3p in the village shop for a week!!

Oh Cheery - your being worried about paying off your tab at the cafe is just the sweetest thing I've read today! - makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! - xx RT4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Huge amounts of fuzziness, yes

I popped back onto your diary too - then I found a welcome post from me
so I stopped shortly after that. I do remember how amazing it was that you were ploughing your own furrow so powerfully, and I still use the phrase "patchwork income", rather than "multiple streams", so much nicer!2023: the year I get to buy a car10 -
Well I did think about that, I'll let you know if it comes to that 🤣!Cheery_Daff said:

Aw, bless you all feeling warm and fuzzy

I still love the idea of a patchwork life
don't really have one income/job wise at the minute but who knows? Hopefully not just yet, quite enjoying my job right now (and my wages!
)
Ha SC, well basically I did get the PhD (eventually), I did finally combine finances with Mr Cheery (after lots of tedious paperwork to make sure we were on the best deal for everything of course), Mr Cheery did leave his main job, we did pay off the mortgage (only 4 months early though
) and add me to the house deeds, I did get the new job (but that wasn't til 2016 so you might not have got that far yet), we did eventually (after MANY years) finish the decorating and sell our house and move to the middle of nowhere, we did finally get married (not til 2018 though, and not for any good reason, and we didn't tell anyone so shhhh
). Does that answer most of the questions??

LOL - Cheery your 'Coles Notes' synopsis reminds me of the recaps that take up the first 5 minutes of most American TV series! You should have started it with the phrase 'Last time on...'4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Had a feeling the wedding would have been low-key (perhaps you've mentioned that on this diary at some point 🤔) - plus I couldn't picture you in a meringue and being a bridezilla 🤣!
And I'm definitely not as far on as 2016 - still stuck in 2010 😮!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
