I remember you recently made some pants and did think when you posted that was an interesting choice considering you’d loving made them 😜😂 I did think you’d likely have some odd cuts of material that would have surely been more MFW to use! Paints make much more sense!Happy Easter 🐣 Cheery.7

Still, if the latter happens, let’s hope they’re only smalls, eh, and that people understand why. Front it out, I’d say.

you lot
How are we all this evening, now you're stopped with the pants-related puns? Incidentally I did make myself another pair of pants yesterdayBut I didn't hide them in the garden and do a video hunt for them, thank goodness!!
Nothing much to report here. Just did a check of YNAB/banks - not that much going on there (which brought home just how much small frittery spending I do - certainly I normally do a LOT of just popping to the shops on the way home from work - something I really don't like doing at all and have been appreciating NOT doing!) All looks fine.
Remembered to order some chicken bedding, and also some panes of glass (well, plastic) to replace those that are missing in the greenhouse. We managed to transport the whole thing here without breaking any of it, and then managed to crack two panes when we were putting it up. That hole is manageable, but in the high winds a few weeks ago we lost a pane from the roof - and if we get any more bad weather the amount of rattling is going to cause even more damage. Glad I've got those ordered even if they take a while to arrive.
What else? Had a nice tea today - I'd made a very simple stir fry and noodles for lunch, and there was a bit left over but not enough for a whole meal, so I boiled some eggs (six, so we've got four for tomorrow if we want them) and mixed some pease pudding into the stir fry. I love pease pudding, and only recently discovered they sell it in ludicrously old fashioned tins in M*rrisons, look
PEASE PUDDING
(Yes, I know that's the wrong supermarket... but it's the same stuff and the other one didn't have it online). That's literally what the can looks like - I love it! (I know it's more MSE to make my own... and I've argued with myself about that far more than is reasonable... but given that a tin lasts a good three or four meals, and it's 80p, and I don't currently have a proper kitchen, I'm afraid I came down on the side of the tins!)
I feel like I'm missing something today, do you ever get that feeling? Like I want to eat something really specific, but I don't know what it is. Cake, most likely, or chocolate. Mr Cheery made scones yesterday but while they were very nice, they were also far too wholesome to properly satisfy my sweet tooth. Not had chocolate for days. I wouldn't mind if I was actually losing a load of weight but nope, not a jot. All rather unfair I feel.
Been out in the garden today, mowed the lawn with the push mower so I suppose that's a free gym workout (it was extremely hard work and took me well over an hour - our lawn is NOT flat!) I also had phone conversations with both my mum and sister, and sat about quite a bit too.
Poor old Maud chicken is still looking a bit lost - I think part of it is that she is older than the others, who are quite young and boisterous. With Mildred around it wasn't so obvious as there were often two of them just hanging around preening, whereas now it's often Maud on her own. She came in the house earlier and sat down for a rest on the carpet so I left her there - she was still dozing an hour later, and when I tried to encourage her out, she refused - instead got up on the sofa and stood where Mr Cheery had been sitting and just stayed there for another hour, eyes closed. Will keep an eye on her, but I think she's always been a bit quieter than the others so I suspect nothing wrong, and just perhaps rather sad and missing her pal.
Anyway, must be nearly time to bed, I'm worn out from doing hardly anything at all!9 -
Another fan of tinned pease pudding here - yum8

I'm not sure I've ever eaten pease pudding! Looking at the ingredients though I'm guessing it's like an English version of dhal, which I not only have eaten, but also love! (And now I think that some form of home made indian feast is going to make it to my meal plan for the weekend!)
Sad news about Mildred, hopefully Maud is jut missing her little pal and will perk up soon.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I am not a fan of pease pudding. I have a tin taking up precious space in my cupboard, I think from when my parents were living here.
