I have been registered with Ciao for a while and had similar problems, think I'm unregistered now. Also had a similr problem with another company, I think it was esurvey or something like that where you just never got enough surveys to earn over the threshold. In the end I sent them a stroppy email and asked for the money I'd earnt so far to be sent by cheque.

I just pop in now and then.... :)

    Link not working. :(

Just worked out how to log in my Ciao account. Got £5.05 in there so have requested payment. Says it could take up to 5 weeks though. :(

I find that now I have started writing opinions for them I qualify for a lot more surveys. Hmm.

Seems if you increase your site activity you get a lot more reward (i'll scratch your back etc).

I just ignore their surveys now.
I'm fed up of filling out surveys for 10 minutes to be told that they already have enough results from people in my category, even if I catch the email straight away!

    Fools!

I had the same survey as the last 2 posts too.

They really do take the p*** with rejecting you after dozens of questions ... they should ask a few screening questions (most of which they should already know the answers to in any case) and THEN tell you not to proceed ... if they insist on asking 100 screening questions, they should make a partial payment.
I complained after the latest "ask 100 questions and then screen you out with no reward" and got the following reply:
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the problems you have experienced with this survey. A technical error with this project meant that you were screened out after an excessive amount of questions. I would like to apologise for this problem and as a gesture of goodwill, we have credited your Ciao account with half the incentive offered for completion of this survey (£1.66). I am sorry if this problem has caused you any inconvenience.
Nice to get a proper response for a change. :)

I have managed to get a couple of payments from Ciao (although it does take an awful long time to get over the £5 threshold). The payment normally takes a few weeks to appear in the bank.

I would say I am down to being able to complete and not get screened out of about 1 in 10 surveys for which I am invited to now - not good.

I don't think the ratio is half as bad as that for me - maybe 2 in 3 are screened out, but not 9 in 10.

Personally, I've had the problems with YouGov not sending surveys out, and £50 is a huge target to reach before paying out, I've been a member from the start and have not had a single paid survey in over 2 years...

Ciao on the other hand, I can take £5-10 / month out no problem. Yes there are surveys that take a lot of screening questions. One tip I would suggest is that you do login and update your profile responses, even if it's just edit and then save. I get a lot more invitations that way ;) And you won't qualify for every survey offered! My hit rate is 50% or so.

Has anyone been paid from ciao that requested payment in June. I still haven't and I sent an e-mail on the 19th July and then got a reply on the 26th saying:
I will look into your payment request as all payment files have been sent to the accounts department for processing, so you should receive payment in the next few days if you haven’t received it already.

I still didn't get payment so I sent another e-mail on the 30th July stating this and I still haven't received a reply 10 days later. I managed to find a telephone number on there corporate site and I phoned that but I got told it was the wrong department but they took my details and said they would forward them on by e-mail so I haven't a clue how long this is going to take. I also requested another payment this month I wonder if that will arrive by christmas.
