BEANIE, we have done several 18 beers for 18 years hampers (well boxes wrapped up)
Gone down very well indeed. I suppose it depends who it is for as these were for friends children rather than nephews/God sons.

    Great idea.
    Thanks for sharing.
Sadly too late & too expensive to do it now.
That would have been great, could have bought a couple a week.

  • Morning all!

Kathrynha you really need a couple of lazy days - easier said than done I know. I know what you mean about being constantly hungry... I think it's the weather - all I want to do is carb up .....I think I would kill for some French bread at the moment.

Lioness - Isn't it maddening how things are sent to tempt you all at once? It's like someone thinks oh she's doing well this will !!!!!! her up!

Still on the watermelon - I'm slowly beginning to get used to it though I doubt very much I will become a lover of it. Had it today with some greek yoghurt as I refuse to pay normal prices for the ordinary stuff and our Tesco seem to have all the yucky flavours anyway.

To add insult, the burger van has reappeared opposite our office, so while I'm trying to stomach watermelon, I'm imagining a bacon roll!

Not sure what's on the menu tonight - can't make up my mind between tacos or stir fry. I'm guessing I should go for the stir fry.

The underwear has arrived - I'm just plucking up courage now to try it on.

I would take it easy if I could.
My mum is doing lots to help, but with the hospital appointments it needs to be me going with daughter for most of them.
And work is stupidly busy, but I've got the least bad and stressful stuff to do.

Easter weekend will be my first chance to relax coming up.

And I could eat soooo much bad stuff. Due to come on soon, so that def isn't helping. Think I need to up my carbs and protein.

Thank you. 'Lobby' is the Potteries (Stoke-on-Trent) version of what Liverpudlians call 'scouse', as taught by my late mother-in-law. Basically a beef stew, with everything just 'lobbed in' to the pot. Diced swede, potatoes, carrots, onion, celery and beef (traditonally you also include pearl barley but we give it a miss).

And in Wales it's called 'cawl'. That's why I was asking about what people meant by beef stew the other week. My mam would just throw everything in too but it wasn't thickened just a very tasty broth although we often had dumplings (or doughboys) with it. If she made 'pea soup' the that had lentils to thicken it but was with ham not beef.

Not sure if you like things like sardines or cottage cheese Nicki but plenty of calcium in those and fibre in veg.

I may have missed why you're eating watermelon gts but I find it really tasteless. I'm not that keen on honeydew either. For preference I'd go for cantaloupe or galia or charantais.

I noticed yesterday that syns online is now asking us to let them know if we can't find a product. I wonder if they really will add things. I wanted to know whether Aldi frozen 5% burgers and sausages were free/low syn. I don't think they like Aldi much though.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO chicken casserole (minus chicken)
D: salmon, SW chips, asparagus, broccoli, tomatoes and mushrooms
    Syns: none

Maman - this week I am mainly eating watermelon, as Paul Whitehouse used to say, as people were raving over its magically weight loss enhancing properties in class.

It is tasteless, and has the texture of the slush in slush puppies but in the interests of science I'm willing to give it a week.

The only noticeable change I've noticed this week is the amount of times I'm having to go to the toilet. Perhaps that's why it induces weight loss - all this body magic walking to the loo!

As for as the app is concerned I really wish they'd either add a bar code scanner or have some sort of filter so the results are a bit more meaningful
