Might be worth a trip to see your GP and explain how much water retention caused problems for you whilst on holiday. Alternatively, what about an on-line doctor? I buy my antihistamines from a website called Pharmacy First and they have an on-line doctor.

    Denise

    Thanks.
I've mentioned it before to various doctors but they have never offered me anything. :(

Maybe you just have to ask outright. They may not actually realise that it causing you so much distress.

    Curly where you off too?
I am lucky like that *touch wood* rarely my legs swell up, but then saying that if my leg is no better they might do this yr :(

    Nowhere yet bubbs......
I'll have to get myself sorted if we do later in the year though.

I've been reading about the 8 foods that are natural diuretics.
Celery, cucumber, carrots, lemons, cranberry, ginger, water melon and cinnamon.
I like all those so I'll up my intake, I'm trying my best to cut out salted crisps, which I love but have only had 1 25g pack in 2 weeks, so that's a start

Cinnamon by the way is supposed to be good for weight loss?!

    I will Denise thank you.
My feet and legs swelled terrible, one worse than the other. I bought flight socks but don't think they did much. Mind you I have had similar problems in Bournemouth as well.....:rotfl:

Rhubarb is another natural diuretic and you can have loads for a very small amount of syns - it's only 1/2 syn for 100g cooked. I often use it mixed with yoghurt or quark as a fool for dessert when it's in season, which it is now - must get some from my friend, she's got loads at the moment!
