Two interesting programmes on BBC this week.
    Britain's fat fight on Wednesday.
The truth about obesity on Thursday.

    I will be watching.
I wish they would do a diet along type programme, with an exercise session at the end.......

    Afternoon all.

    Lovely Denise.
I dread the word holiday at the moment
Last year I puffed up so much when abroad I couldn't wear any dresses or shorts that I took with me, so spent the week in my linen trousers.

I'm sure if I lose a bit it will help........

Have you thought about getting some water tablets before you go?

Last time we went to Thailand, my legs were swollen for days. This holiday when we arrived at our villa we got dressed and went for a meal - I put a new pair of converse on, when these are worn in they are comfy but they were rather hard - we walked to the restaurant where I realised my feet were so swollen, that I now had huge open blisters on both my heels, due to water retention from the flight. I had to swop shoes with DIL, and DS went to the chemist to get water tablets. All sorted within a couple of days. On my way home I took a tablet before and after the flight - all fine no problems. x

    Thanks for this.
I had wondered if they would help.
I read about water retention but decided to drink more water when away. I avoided alcohol during the day thinking that would help.
Do you take herbal over the counter ones as the only people I know who take them are prescription meds?

Might be worth a trip to see your GP and explain how much water retention caused problems for you whilst on holiday. Alternatively, what about an on-line doctor? I buy my antihistamines from a website called Pharmacy First and they have an on-line doctor.

Mine were from a pharmacist in Thailand. I would talk to your GP, and if he/she is not forthcoming I would go to the pharmacist when you arrive (most countries will allow you to buy medication that we need a prescription for). Even when you take these, you are supposed to drink loads of water to help flush your system.

To help with jet lack I also bought some over the counter Melatonin - all I can say is the quality of sleep is now WOW.

As long as you enjoyed the High Tea Beanie, I wouldn't worry about having no loss.

It's far worse is when you use your syns on something you don't enjoy!
