I work around DFW, one has to prioritise.... runs off ( or log on when kids out of classroom, v. good alternative)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Logging on *at* work, I like it! I think my clients might notice, tho :rotfl: ah well. Yesterday ended up 11 hours, not 12, we had a cancellation at the end of the day, so I ended up having a bit of an evening, instead of staggering home at 11pm. I was *so* proud of myself on the way in! We usually use the M4 and the North Circular, but there was chaos cos of a burst watermain, so I checked out the map and we did what I planned, heading north to the M/A40, instead of getting off the M4 early. It was fantastic! :j It was one of the shortest daytime journey times we've ever had! I'm actually a bit of a bloke around maps, I love 'em, and it certainly paid off yesterday.
Today, I've got quite a list to get done:
- bit of shopping - I had time to do some yesterday, but still need a bit. done, except for decaff coffee, and I have a bit left of that.
- some emails. oops, only done one.
- hair cut. done - just about to experiment with hair serum for the 1960s wet look!
- hopefully buy some trainers. The ones I'm wearing when I have to be on my feet are my gardening trainers, which are a complete disgrace, I can't go to a science fiction convention (i.e. socialise) wearing them. I was shattered, and really hungry, I might manage to buy some in midweek next week.
And dfw-wise:
- have qualified for the freebie, so do that m.b. before I go away. Jehosophat! Finally done 11.20 - they'd changed the T&C while I was sick, so I had to ring CS and explain, and they offered me a discretionary. Nice understanding people, so I'm still happy.
- check the lightspeed survey offers. done, 10.30am.
- do my pigsback clicks, I'm nearly at the next £10. done, 9.45am
- ring a prospective client.
Hmmm. I think this might be a *weekend* list, not today's list. Oops! And I need to fit a bit more weeding in too.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Offline now - got to do the external bits on that list, plus anniversary card to my brother, oops. done with ten minutes to spare!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

This list business is great, isn't it! I love the "done" bit! :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
:hello: I came to my diary thread half a dozen times yesterday, but was having a bit of a crisis of actually doing any work, got really badly sidetracked by playing computer games    bad me.
Anyway, since that Saturday post, I've worked in the garden twice - both times on the patio, which is dfw cos when I come back, I'll be planting up this windowbox I keep on about with lettuce and whatnot. Going to make a concerted effort to bring down my foodbill.
And now... I'm off! Seeing my mum, off to see Michael Shanks and Chris Judge, off to see Hypno and Pania next week and then some cousins, then home with renewed dfw vigour!
So, have a good day everyone, a good week, don't work too hard, see you all soon.

Hi Karmacat! Good luck with the windowbox. I've all but given up on growing my own food as the slugs eat everything I plant. I've tried every slug prevention method in the book!
So jealous of you meeting Hypno and Pania! Give them my love.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
