Hiya Seaxwyn! Thanks! Yeah, its getting a bit tough already, but I'm keeping going so far. How are you? Your trip to France was good too, yes?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yes, we had a really lovely time. But not a very DFW one! Even though the travel and accomm were free, the lift passes, ski hire and lessons cost a bomb. And I've come back to a situation of not quite enough work. Eek! I need to get creative and hypno-like.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

So true! Wish I were as focussed as hypno. Sorry to hear about the work front. I had a really good day on Friday work-wise, and its seeing me through the week - have 2 days this week with no paid work at all (tho of course I'll be dfw-ing to save my life!).
Today, I have a list of about 20 things to do... sigh.... the next on the list is to use my lad broke's free bet - I bollixed up the joining, and they've given me a free extension of 24 hours, didn't research carefully enough before joining, but they were really nice about it. Its £100, which is a lot of filthy lucre, so I have to do well!
:coffee: first, and off I go.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
HIIIYYYYAAAAA!!!! Just went to your diary, and saw you'd posted on here, so came back - so much crossposting to do, so little time to do it in! :rotfl:
I did check your diary when I first got back, looked like there was a lot going on for you that was pretty deep, and didn't want to jump in the wrong way with both feet, so I'll go read it properly now. Thanks for sharing the cuppa... glad you're off to see DP, give him a kiss and a stroke from me.
Just made the qualifier for the m.b., it was actually really easy to find, 0.03 diff gives something like 98.5% profit retention (i.e. £1.59 loss), even grumbler would be pretty happy with that. I hope!
Next is online vouchers for BiL's 50th, then a signup to a newsletter my bezzie mate told me about. Then its the washing up, oh joy. But its still on the list, I can still cross it out if I do it!
See ya later

Hi Karma nice to see you back. Glad you had a good break. Sounds like your back with a vengeance like you've never been away from DFW , good for you.
Catch up later, I must log off here and get something done I really must.

Pania - yep, I read about the accidental kinkiness, that was funny! They used it in a recent episode of Bones, actually (I love that programme, David Boreanaz angst, woof woof).
Keeping Motivated - hiya!!! Yes, I'm back, want to be debt free even more. In fact, been doing some thinking (again, god, I'm sure some people wish I'd stop!). With the way rates are going, I'm not going to pay off that thousand from my Northern Rock loan after all. I'm going to save up for the house improvements straight away - I'd only be saving up for them after I'd paid the NR off, so I might as well.
Although I've got some nice new double glazing in parts of the house, its mostly really cold day to day - most of the old d.g. is blown, the boiler is ancient and so are the radiators, the shower doesn't work and my mum won't visit me again till it does, some plaster's blown where the rain's come in for too long, all sorts of structural stuff. So, thats the new plan - focussing on structural work. Like Pania said on her diary, it'll mean the debt total won't be coming down, but then like SS said (I've caught up on so many diaries so recently, I can remember stuff!) life is for living - I am *not* going to be as cold as this next winter.
This m.b. I've just done, except for the fact that it was an extension cos I screwed up, was an incredibly easy qualifier, for £100 too, that'll make a nice addition to the finances.
Okay. I'm off. Must shut the laptop down for a bit and get to work. Keep well all.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Right, today I have:
- done the matched bet.
- emptied the vacuum cleaner (bagless... allergies.... more difficult than it sounds!)
- done lots of the washing up.
- changed the bed, washed bedding already.
- emailed beloved cousin and mucked about with pix for her.
- sorted the dvds I've made (in a mess already!!!).
- cleaned the fireplace.
- changed the timings on the few things that aren't automatic these days.
Still got to:
- sign up to a newsletter.
- check out vouchers for BiL's birthday
- finish washing up.
- wash a few bits off the walls (don't ask)...
- mend a thingy that goes in the hallway.
- check how to set stops for trading, a la ZDT a week or so ago.
- after that lot, throw myself into the bath!
And I have three hours, I'm going out at a quarter to six. :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
