Right. Stuff going on / achieved:
- did a matched bet last night, using the vc freebie, hurray, completed for a profit of £39 odd on £50, not bad.
- done two You Gov surveys this morning, total time 10mins max, for £2, cor.:money:
- am trolling about on tesco and eurostar at the mo, trying to decipher what I can do and what I can't, if you're using the tesco eurostar deal its running out soon. Fortunately I just fit in, so I'll have to phone them as soon as I've contacted my mate living in Germany (write out 100 times, I must not blow off my mate to see Michael Shanks:happyhear at a German convention, I must not...)
- preparing for a new *type* of mystery shop on Saturday - all that info goes into my head really slowly, so that'll be a while.
- got a minimum value Amazon sale to do, £1.41 credit!
- sigh..... I have to sort out the next subsidy of my French current account. S*dding apartment (KC keeps thinking of how it will finance her old age, bites her lip and kicks the sofa. Hard).
- paperless BT billing! I haven't gone paperless cos I claim a lot of my phone bill on expenses, but I've realised I only need to print one sheet of paper to do that, so I'll still be quids in! Duh!!! Well, that'll be easy. :money:
- if I get bored of all this worthy stuff, I can always go hunt for a match for my next m.b. at vc - 5 sets of little ones. It brings in money in an mse kind of way, but it *feels* evil! and is also pretty mindless
- I'm also paying proper attention to the trading today again, writing a stream of consciousness thing to help me focus and notice patterns, things have changed in the last 6 months or so, new patterns and timeframes emerging. :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
This is the really important one in my inbox, a NASA press release:
"NASA's Cassini spacecraft has found evidence of
material orbiting Rhea, Saturn's second largest moon. This is the
first time rings may have been found around a moon."
I'm a big fan of spaceflight, tho not of NASA. Go, Cassini, go!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
you have slightly lost me on the space stuff, KC, but then my brain is so fuddled due to lack of coffee so far this morning, that nothing surprises me!!
Hope you have a good day - moons and all!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Yikes, a Hypno without coffee, calamitous! Space science is another one of my oddball interests - I belonged to the Mars Society for quite a while, even went to Toronto to one of their conventions - all us Europeans got a standing ovation just for turning up, it was weird.
Today, my £10 a day totals are:
Lightspeed 110 points, about £1
Pigsback: 5p click! I *will* update my sig, but then I *have* to go, client arriving in.... 23 minutes..... I shouldn't really be stuck to my computer any longer.
Have a good day all!
UPDATE: at 11.10. I'm terrible, I should *not* be on here doing this, but I couldn't resist. I had some money hanging around in a bingo account, that I wasn't going to use, so that I could see the full and final picture so far of the bingo situation. So I only deposited-and-withdrew today: so thats £33.36 (I won the jackpot on a £1 site 5p game). Tip: remember what your username is, I'm reduced to such unfamiliar terms, when I saw who'd won, I almost shut down the game and went away - only realised it was me that had won at the very last second!!! Off to update the sig now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
My timings on here are completely weird. 2am today, I was re-funding my latest [strike]victim[/strike] bookie, and did a small qualifier m.b. Just done the 2nd one now, at 9am. I'd be thrilled to get this one done in the next few days, I feel like really accelerating on the m.b. Between that and the free bingo money, I'm just at the point where I can withdraw the full float of £500 I used to open the bank account that I use for all this stuff - its now self funding, with £400 sitting in betfair. Really pleased with that.
Today, its a mystery shop, I may finally have the sense to do the N Rock overpayment I've been blathering about for nearly two weeks, and when I download my emails when I get back, I'll see about bingo, surveys, other mystery shops to bag, etc, etc. Full moneysaving day today, but I've promised myself tomorrow will be an outside day, going to the bluebell wood. :j
I've also been posting a query on the techie board. I love those people, they have such detailed knowledge, and they'r so willing to share it - well, like every board I've been to, really - dfw, old style, gambling intro, freebies, I think thats it - I suppose because its things that I don't know where else to turn to and have a pressing tech problem, I really appreciate it.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Rats, just lost my post cos of being lazy with my wrists on the laptop, pressed a button by accident. Okay, I'm *trying* to do an update:
- have done 60% of the WR for the second half of the m.b. for my latest bookie. I love m.b.ing - it still scares me, but so much of it is fiddling about on websites, and I love doing that! Sad, I know.
- leapt off to the centre of town first thing to make my overpayment. Oh guess what, although its a Northern Rock loan, its run by a separate company, I can't make a payment like that there, tho they can take the cheque off me (yeah, I bet they can). I'd been into the branch before, and nobody had bothered to say this - but of course, I spoke to a can-do type person, and it seems that every N Rock staff member is sunk deep in depression - I don't blame them, mind, but it cost me an hour or so to find this out. They put me in a room with a phone and I talked to the loan section direct. Upshot is, I can pay it online, which I will do this afternoon.
- have done a new type of mystery shop, and had to stay there ages cos I finished too early and had to go back (had actually got on the bus to go home, oops).
- have found out that a local supermarket has a free bus once a week from my local shops, 5 mins away. Or from a big pub slightly further away. This gives me a dilemma: do I continue to use Mr T online ordering and delivery once a month, and pay just under £5 for the privilege (a taxi for a monthly shop would cost me twice that, by the way, plus all the faff of doing it myself in the first place). But if I use this free bus, say, twice a month, I pay no transport at all, and can probably get prices like Mr T's..... I really don't know. The only thing thats startlingly cheaper at Tesco than other supermarkets is feta cheese, which I use tons of cos its the only cheapish non-cow's milk cheese. I'll have to check on that at this other place. Its like doing a mystery shop, I suppose.
- I've booked in a mystery shop for tomorrow! Sunday! Thing is, its at the place I have to go to to get to the bluebell wood! Karma, hey?
- got to do the inputting for the shop I've just done, then any surveys, then the dratted Northern Rock payment. And then, some more m.b. research - European stuffy wotsits. :footie: And then, how to work a DVD recorder!!! :coffee:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I work on the basis I only put an Mr T order through if I can find an on-line code that covers delivery-if that helps.
Cat food is 6p a can cheaper at MrT's so that's my excuse for sticking with them-and I don't have to carry the stuff been another green and car-less person.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Hi Duchy - how do you find those codes? I see people talking about them all the time, and I really have No Clue. I'll pm you this as well, cos I'm *really* curious!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Karma
Re the tesco codes there is a sticky at the top of the discounts board called 'Tesco voucher codes, no chat' and people post codes on there if there are any around. I don't think I have ever done a shop without at least a £5 discount. Sometimes there are £10 pound discounts if you do a minimum spend of £50/£70 and sometimes £15 off a £100 spend. Its sometimes worth stocking up and doing a bigger shop to get the discounts. Also there are sometimes points codes, which I prefer if they have them because 1000 points is worth £40 in deals.
If you have any questions just ask or they also have a discussion thread under the no chat thread.
Hope all that makes sense.

So much to catch up on! You've been busy - hopefully you'll get out to the bluebells - it's a lovely day here and I'm really jealous as the outlaws and DS have just come in from a nice wals feeding the ducks and playing in the park. Flippin SPD!!! Oh well, I've had a little catch-up time!
I registered a new Tesco online delivery account before Xmas to get the Pigsback £5 and every few weeks they send a £10 off voucher to that account. It's the only time I use it! I've got some info on Tesco that a DFW kindly sent me by PM - it's probably stuff you know, but it was news to me so I'll forward it in case it's any use.0
