Hi GTD
Yep, the weekend was good, just winding down now. How are you? You kind of pop in and out - I'm hoping thats cos life is so good, not cos you've fallen off the DFW bandwagon? Take care.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hmph..... lightspeed don't like me any more, I got screened out of three surveys. Off now to make a list of stuff I have to do today.
I'm also a fairly *silly* bunny (I have no idea why bunnies are involved... this, perhaps? :EasterBun
Anyway, I was fiddling about on my computer yesterday, adding up income and whatnot, and I inputted my A&L pin number wrongly. Three times  . And they don't send an email with a new one. ***They write you a letter!!!**** !!!!!!? Hello, internet banking here! My fault for being such a klutz. Nice guy on the phone *did* tell me the balance, which is what I hoped it would be - with all this bingo scare going on about reversing payments, I was scared it had gone down to a tenner or something. Safe for now.
Also just checked with vc - the promo cash, as they call it, is sent to the account two working days after settlement, not including weekends, and as settlement was on Saturday, thats it for now. Okay, all is well in Karma-world.
10.50am update. Or maybe not. Holding with Debenhams Finance now. They were quick enough to take my money, and write me confirming the policy cancellation. But have they issued my refund? They have not. And now I'm on hold while the woman on the other hand checks with her supervisor about what she can see on her screen. Uh-oh.
11.10am update: no its okay, they forgot to process the refund (!) and I sweet-talked them into an extra fiver compensation. Phew....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done on getting the refund sorted AND getting the extra fiver! always comes in :-)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Thanks, Dragon! I feel good about it, but I *have* put it in my "wait and see" pile, not my sorted pile, I mean, they've already made one mistake, thats why I had to phone them. I wonder how many mistakes like that they make, and I wonder how many are noticed?
God bless Martin Lewis :money: :money: :money:
Anyway, how are you? From your sig, it looks like a weight programme is heading the wrong way?sorry about that.

I see what you mean! If they fudged your account up once it could happen again (wait until the money is in your account!)
Re the weight loss - I needed to take my medication every day last week and at one point I had put a stone on  - so three pounds on by the end of the week is not bad! (not brilliant because as you said it is a backward step - but I am consoling myself with the fact that it could have been a lot worse!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

"it could have been a lot worse" It really could, couldn't it. Medication does funny things to our bodies - I hope your weight improves for you soon.
My digestive system is under a bit of strain today - I've had chocolate and cows' milk in the last 24 hours, and my body hates it, really hates it, tho I love the tastes.Ah well, there's a lot else I can have.

Its horrible, really bad.... that sensation that you can't trust your body, awful. Mine is recurrent but short term, not chronic, so not in the same "league" as what you have to go through - but its bad for me, if you know what I mean. I've never got myself straight again after Christmas, in relation to food. hi ho.
Well, onwards and upwards. Been out to post that little amazon sale - its *freezing* out there!!! On the plus (I wrote "puss"...) side tho, there's a *lot* of cats sitting in front gardens waiting for me to admire them. Its very nice. Very obliging of them.
Going to do some actual work soon, so I'm off. Bye for now.

Phew! Quite a day. Had another one of those detailed mystery shops, was a lot savvier with the timings thing, so it went a lot more smoothly. It occurred to me that a payment of £11 is one per cent of that thousand pound overpayment - never looked at it that way before! :money: :money:
And while I was waiting (its a two part thing) there was a Lidl next door! I went in, natch, and went back afterwards to note down the various cheapy things that might be good for me. Its in a different town, but I wouldn't mind taking my luggage trolley sometimes, I think some things were an *awful* lot cheaper. And I like that little town. :j
I've been inputting since I got in (and was shattered) and am also taping (ssshhh!!) a French language tape from the library - will play it in the background for practice, even tho I won't have the book, it has to go back tonight, and luckily the library is nearby. My tape deck is doing it at high speed, and it sounds like chipmunks, never done it before, its v funny!:rotfl:
What else? Going to check if my promo cash has appeared at vc, and if it has I'll try to use it tonight. Otherwise, I'll just be inputting on amazon, some very heavy books, I don't hold out much hope for them, but might as well, for a while. Then its hunting out a few CDs - I've gradually been cleaning and dusting the jewel cases, so there's a few now in a state to be sold. It'd be nice to eat something else today, of course.... :EasterBun :rolleyes22023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
hiya karma, sounds like you are going great guns hon! word of warning though, please be careful you don't loose out on those big books, I made a large loss on some of mine as the postage is limited on amazon and i ended up selling 5 books for what they were purchased for plus an additional 3 quid on top. Just sticking to the paperbacks now.
Glad to hear the mbing is still going good but NOOOOOOOOO to the chocolate, not when it makes you feel bad!
Big hugs honey
