Ooh.... I feel all flushed. And I feel more scared than when I set my first m.b. Just opened up at a new bookie (with great difficulty, phone calls, emails, blah blah yadda yadda) found the **great** match of 5.5/5.5, and put it all through. The reason I'm freaking slightly is that its my very first market that isn't simple match odds, thats all. I've been very good, and didn't chase it or set it up too quickly, its the third time I've opened up the two sets of websites and gone through it, I'm sure its right. Its just, wow, £50 at 5.5 is a lotta dosh.

What else? Won a little bit at bingo last night, had it done while scanning to declutter. Will do some more this afternoon while I tidy up ready for the weekend visit I'm freaking about (I freak a lot, don't I?) :rotfl: :rotfl: Ah well...

Right. Got to go do some more work. Have a good day all.

1517 :o just been on to check it again. Its still right.

The only dfw thing I'm doing today is a mystery shop. Good payment, and local, but its of a completely new format for me, and very, very very detailed (did I mention it was detailed?). The hourly rate must be ridiculous, I printed the details on Wednesday and spent an hour reading them yesterday. Going over them again now. However, I have a repeat of this shop on Tuesday, so that makes it more profitable.

My qualifier bet above is going to happen today - I'll find out whether or not I was right :)

Plus, through trying to do partybingo, I found out I had a reload offer at pbets - got to sort out whether or not its worth doing, looks like it has a WR of 500% - still, now I (hopefully) have more flexibility from doing halftime/fulltime bets, I might get even closer matches, which should make it well worth doing.

Hope everyone has a good day

Hiya!!!! It was good, it worked!!!! I won at betfair, and lost at vc, which is always easier that way round. I *was* expecting the freebie to be credited within 2 working days of placing the bet, but it wasn't on there this morning. I wonder if they give you the freebie up to 2 days after settlement? I might put a couple of questions on the newbie thread.

Just had a glorious weekend - the mate that came down, we never stopped talking, I only spent about a fiver, prattled on about debtbusting and mse, she showed me a few computer tricks I've been yearning for, we went a walk along the seafront and this afternoon took her to a Woodland Trust wood, where all the bluebells are about to burst out, it felt like I'd been on holiday. I need more of that!

Duchy, how are you? And Sea? Just off to connect with your diaries - leave your news on here too, if you'd like!

    xx

Brilliant overpayment - wow! And a great result on the bet as well - really pleased for you that it worked out. I think that a huge part of it is confidence, so hopefully there'll be no stopping you now! Great that you had such a fab weekend too, and you'll have a lovely clean house to yourself now as well!

Just having a bet related giggle to myself: I got a free £5 bet from Partybets the other day, no deposit required or anything. I've withdrawn everything from BF for a while and didn't want to get involved again for the moment, so just picked a match at random (Liverpool or someone) and won it tonight, so had £9, but couldn't withdraw it due WR. For lack of better ideas and lack of motivation to MB such a small amount (naughty, I know!) I've gone with the extremely high risk strategy of placing 9 x £1 bets on football matches with high odds in the hope one or more come good! I was really surprised at the high odds available, as the matches were all internationals with good teams like Italy, Spain etc, playing in the Futsal International Championship. But I've just made a discovery: apparently 'Futsal' isn't the name of the contest, like UEFA, or Carling or anything, it's actually the name of the sport! :rotfl: Seems to be something like indoor 5-a-side from what I can gather from Wikipedia, but it just shows how easy it is to get caught out when you have no idea about sport! Thankfully I've absolutely nothing to lose - it was free money that would have expired if I hadn't gambled it, but think what could have happened if I'd been playing with a £100 qualifier or something  and had no idea what bloomin sport I was even betting on! Will let you know if I make a fortune from it!

Thanks! I haven't actually made the overpayment yet :o but I've put the money across from the savings account where its been sitting.

LOL and tut tut simultaneously on the bet!!! [STRIKE]Thats really funny. [/STRIKE] I hope it works for you!

I've got 3 mystery shops for next week, so its going to be quite tight, but with the one yesterday, that'll be adding up to £40. Even tho its hours of work, its still worth doing - the expenses come out of my weekly cash that I can spend anyway (sort of) so its more towards that overpayment. Ooh, and I know there's a couple of lightspeeds I need to do tonight, or I might miss them. You take care, Panda, hope you're blooming.

  • Hi Karma

    Sounds like a lovely weekend.

Well done with the MB as I have said before I have no idea what its all about feels like another language although I have not truly tried to translate it as I passed it onto my OH to master and he did thank goodness :D So I admire that you have knuckled down and worked it out!

Did I once read on your diary about what you downloaded to protect your computer? I have flicked through quickly but too many pages. May have been another diary so just ignore me. I have a new lap top and I need to make sure its properly protected.
  • Hi KC - sounds like you've had a great weekend. Catch up with you sometime soon.

    Hi there Keeping Motivated

It was lovely, it was. Been on here this evening, which is lovely in its own unique way! And, y'know, as long as one of you has mastered the m.b.ing, it doesn't matter which - skilful referral is important too!

I have chattered on about protecting my computer - I now use stopzilla, and I re-downloaded zone alarm, avg on its own wasn't enough. Stopzilla only cost about £12, and the others are free - and zone picked up 9 infections, so now my computer, altho still a teeny bit slow, has stopped freezing, so they must have been bad ones. You're right to focus on protection - I don't think there's anything more important, I wouldn't do anything without something, if you know what I mean.

    Have a good night!
