Hiya - I had a bit of a lie-in, got up at 0740, lovely. The Farscape one, its all a bit gung ho - I really love the first season, when John Crichton didn't even know how to open a door.....

Doctor Who tonight! I didn't realise! He's just been on BBC breakfast news (his actor, I mean :rotfl:) they gave him quite a bit of time. Thats definitely one to be taped.

Enjoy your treats later on - I'm off shopping too:
    - got to use some of the Clubcard Plus money
    - do I got to a Tesco thats further away so I can earn extra points by signing up for their repeat prescriptions and get 250 points (not that I *need* repeat prescriptions!)
    - make a mortgage overpayment from my dfw money
    - buy a big plastic box for storage.
    - and there's a gallery exhibition I'd like to see - good grief, fancy enjoying yourself on a day out to town!!!

EDIT: just remembered, I need trainers. As in, the pair I currently wear are split across the whole of both soles, I got *very* wet yesterday in 20m. And it hurts to walk on anything but flat paving stones. Oops.

Those quilt covers sound good. I have enough, but I'm reluctantly having to retire the one I alternate for myself (as opposed to keeping by for guests) - its Laura Ashley, and its literally the first quilt cover I ever bought - I've just realised, it must be 30 years old, and its only worn thin over the last year or so :o

You know, Shaun, there's a gap in the market - there must be room for a completely Irish version of moneysavingexpert.com. I'm sure you're in tune with Martin's attitude of consumer revenge / adversarial consumerism. I'm not sure you'd have the *concentration*, what with little elvin frying your brains every 10 mins :rotfl: but I bet you could do it!

Sorry about that! Everywhere I go these days, I can see opportunities for moneymaking on websites.... maybe I'm really supposed to be an internet entrepreneur????

Not a bad trip out today, got a till spit from Tesco for 100 points if I topped up my phone on O2, which is me anyway. Used up some of the clubcard plus money - I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on that, otherwise I'm giving Tesco money for nothing, in spite of double points.

Realised I don't need to buy a plastic storage box - I have a waist height bookcase sitting in the garage that can be cleaned off and used as shelves (before I sell the place stripped out, or renovate it).

And I paid off another £500 from the mortgage - that makes £5000 since I started doing this with my dfw money, thats really good - when rates were at 5% or so, that would've made a real difference.

Not long now till Doctor Who!!!! :)

Dr Who was Veerrryy good(i think he has gone a bit skinny though). Just about to watch the Red Dwarf second episode ( taped) Smegging brilliant.Have seen the first few opening bits, very apt!

Well done on the overpayment KC.

Have you seen 'The Times' article on moneymaking?

    http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/tech_and_web/the_web/article4124807.ece

Most of those are on here, but there are some interesting bits and it neatly summarises a few things.

And for Shaun, from 'The Irish Times'

    This article is quite enlightening

Wow .... I hadn't gone into it seriously, obviously, Bob - thats brill, thank you. I bookmarked it, will have a proper go through some of that stuff tomorrow.

Doctor Who and Red Dwarf were both great - I was a bit worried about Dr Who when I saw the guest star, and I'm a teeny bit concerned that she was a Lara Croft-alike, but they did it really well. He *is* very thin, isn't he ..... not like Craig Charles! Danny's keeping himself pretty fit tho. Okay, I'll stop ogling now.

    Today's recipe:
    - bit of time in the garden, finally.
    - delving into the vacuum cleaner, to find the earring I sucked up on Wednesday
    - bath and hairwash
    - off to mate's for 2pm, walkies and Easter tea.
    - phone calls in the evening, to mum and sister. I might phone my sister now, actually, to avoid doing the gardening.

Have a good day all! Hope elvin doesn't wear out your ears, Shaun.

Off to bed early for me. I'll be spending the day at a cardiac unit in London, waiting with my sister for her husband's results. Shan't be on here for a few days.

Take care all. As with all the serious illnesses and deaths that suddenly rear their heads, perspective suddenly alters.
