Thanks Sea! Actually I was horrified - I wanted bone china mugs on a Christmassy theme, and a coffee table book of French scenery, preferably the north/Normandy, and I coudn't find either! The mugs are all heavy porcelain, and the books are all arty. I'm really worried now that I'll have to go to London shopping on the last Saturday before Christmas!!!!!  :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Any chance of getting that sort of thing online?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I have two bone china mugs on a Christmassy theme that I was going to give to my friend's two daughters, but they'd just as soon have something else I'm sure. Can I get them to you somehow? Are you passing through Redhill on Friday? I could post them through the window of the trainTotal debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

I abandoned my diary for a couple of days, and didn't see the last two posts!!!! Too late now, Seaxwyn - but I really appreciate that offer, thank you so much. :T I can try the Reject Shop, v v doubtful, and a couple of museum shops. If not there, do you know what might be around in Crawley, as opposed to John Lewis in Oxford Street? And I'm in a suburban-central shopping area in London tomorrow, if our journey goes well I may have time to look at the shops there.
Haven't done anything moneysaving, really - but I was working really hard yesterday for a while, I got 17 out of my list of 22 done, and quite a few "halveses" of the five left. Hypno puts me to shame doing a survey on the day the lodger is leaving and the TV crew is arriving....
Of course, I've just spent £95 on the internet, which isn't particularly moneysaving..... but....... Michael Shanks is coming to England for a 3 day convention!! I can't not go to that, I just can't, I'll sleep in a tent if I have to. Maybe a mini challenge is to make the event carbon neutral, so to speak....
Right, brekkie then work for a couple of hours: Christmas tree and a few surveys.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
