Don't get on Shaun's bad side! Or Bob's, come to that! :rotfl:

I'm teed off with the whole thing now, shutting down the comp - going to eat something nutritious (just had a snickers :o ) then out to the garden. Then back in for coffee - see, got it all planned!

I hate Virgin now - "purposeful obscuration". Yep.

Oh Duchy, thats exactly the kind of thing I was doubtful about, thank you! I finally thought to look at the call charges, and tho I'm not sure what I'm paying at the mo, they looked high to me. I've begged off with this woman, whoever she is, and I'll start again on Monday, by checking out exactly what I pay and exactly what I pay for.

    Thanks again.

  • Hi KC -
Morning! How are you, GTD? Nappies? Matched betting? What's this book you've been telling Bob about?

Yes - the nappies are OK at the moment :)

I didn't get started on the matched betting - I think I'm too concerned that I'll muck it up...

And the book is "Getting Things Done" by David Allen - I found it to be v.good.

BOB - Snoring - have you looked into sleep apnoea? PM me if you like - I can tell you more...

  • With Talktalk, it is all inclusive. For broadband and phone calls ours also includes inclusive phone calls abroad. With the Sky+ it works out at £38 a month. Which i think is reasonable for all of it.

Edit to say lately with Vat reduction it has worked out at £35.

Thanks GTD, he has been tested for it all...thankfully he doesn't have that just a weird shaped pallet and something to do with his dangly bit at the back which has grown again..was previously shortened with laser surgery. He is having implants which will alter the shape:o

Ye gods, there've been a fair old number of surgical interventions for that snoring, thats not good.

The telecoms .... this woman only phoned me and said she could match what was on the website! Well, why can't she give me the best price anyway? And why do I suddenly have to go through her? Maybe I don't ... in any case, I have to get down to some serious number crunching. I think I need to go cable broadband, for sure, thats the real reason for the sudden push - my connection keeps breaking, tho its fine for phone calls, its not good enough for broadband now.

The book, GTD - is that where you took your internet moniker from? Aha! I'll have a look on Amazon for that as well.

I spent ages in the garden this afternoon - getting rid of leftover root systems in the new veg patch, outlining it with bricks, rescuing worms and grape hyacinth bulbs and bricks. I'm practically limping, and I've completely overdosed on chocolate - I think I better detox when this lot's gone, I still can't have it in the house, I just have an addictive personality where chocolate's concerned.

  • I have an addiction to peanuts...marathon bars are a close second. I don't buy any of them so that helps.

Yep i agree he has had a lot of stuff done re the snoring. I was wondering about it being in the family as his mum is awful and snores just as she is snoozing. They have a similar shaped face.
Thankfully no sleep apnea as i was worried about that.

Sounds nice to be able to get in the garden. The weather has been awful here today.
