Sorry about all the health stuff..having just spent the best part of the afternoon in hospital with DD2 i can relate and as for having quality of life..sheesh.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hi Bob - thanks for your post. I hope DD is okay - of course, sometimes when you don't post, thats where you are ... thats a tough one, I hope she's okay.
I feel better today - I've got the appointment in a fortnight to follow up, and the nurse who took the blood said some of the tests were quite unusual, so I know the doc is taking things seriously, not just blasting away with anything she can find.
Today, a shedload, frankly, of dfw money arrived in my dfw account - a casino thingy from my casino mate, Minxy bingo finally paid out (poor lambs, they've really got stung by folks on here) and so did takeabreak - I sense they'll be stopping the free scratchcards soon, its taken aaagggees to get here. But those three total £64 - thats 12% of my next overpayment to the mortgage! And there's another £80 or so to come - quidco, a phone interview, two mystery shops and an amazon sale. Amazing really - turns out I don't waste my time on the computer after all! Off to update totals now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Quidco money of £30.83 has arrived - unbelievably, most of that is the £25.01 football pools money, *they* really got stung too. Thank you, football pools people!
I've done lots of bits today already - ooh, my list has ten ticks on it - phone calls, online banking, checking vouchers, blah blah. Still to do:
- wash hair.
- Tesco, get back the whole 72p they stole from me a couple of weeks ago
- go to accountant, pay them, pick up my books.
- wash up!!!! It never ends.
- cook a bit of food to take with me. And, ta-da
- go out this evening! to a positive thinking course, free professional reaccreditation hours, and it might actually be useful for me. Its a 3 week course.
- plus 2.5 hours paid work. Its still going to be a bit busy here.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hi GTD, Hi pepe!
Yep, the pos thinking was good - frankly, I was expecting them to be a bit cultish, and to have to resist the hard-sell on other "opportunities". But they weren't like that at all. For instance, its in their constitution that they're run by unmarried Hindu ladies.... and pix are up on a wall - not as a shrine, but in those plastic frame things - as proof. It was remarkable. The bit I loved best thats easiest to type is their classification of types of thoughts - positive, yep.... negative, yep .... and then necessary (collect kids from school, do the washing up etc etc) and finally ""waste"" - waste thoughts!!!! Yes!!!! The story of my life! What a brilliant way of putting it! And its 1.5 hours of free, fairly helpful CPD. I'll definitely be going back.
Today, my list is:
- done the scratchies.
- tidy the place up.
- print out stuff for a mystery shop.
- phone Virgin, they still haven't contacted me, bah.
- sort diary for the next few weeks.
Hey, did you know that on Monday an asteroid the size of the Siberian one passed only 49,000 miles away from the Earth? Thats **much** closer than the moon? All our credit crunch worries could have been over ....

What? We could have had some huge explosion in some God-forsaken place and that would have ended the credit crunch?
