:rotfl: I hadn't put the two of them together before!

And Bob .... what are you doing up and posting at that time of night  you're in the same time zone as the rest of us, unlike chev ....

I slept really well last night - maybe it was to do with the variety of things I did, and the physical work? Note to self: get out more.

Today, tho, I've got 2.5 hours work at home, then I'm off to London to work for the evening, so not much time for mucking about with bricks. I was good tho, last night: at midnight, I realised a frost was due, and in fact had started, so I went out and rescued my little redcurrant bushes, put them in the porch. I'll put them outside when I've done this post, actually, and write myself a BIG note to take them in before I go to London.

Hope everyone has a good day.

I lead a life of insomnia, can usually be found lurking at weird times..have been known to go through the night when i am really bad:o Well its either that or listen to Mr.B have a lovely nights sleep oblivious to the damage of my ear drums:cool:

Goodness, I'm quite scared at just how much of my time is spent on Wasteful Thoughts. I'm a bit of a common-sense type and don't rate too highly all the motivational/psychological type stuff, but that struck a chord. I'm almost tempted to have a look at KM's book...almost...

Sounds like you've had quite a productive few days KC. Hoping the doctors can work out what's wrong and get you mended. Thanks loads for the casino tip by the way - I got £80-odds, which would have been more but I felt it only fair to go 50/50. Fab profit for zero work!

Have you had a Graze box yet? Sure you will have done, but if not...

    Morning!

Bob, sorry about the insomnia, thats awful.

Panda - thanks for the good wishes, and for graze - I *haven't* done that, actually, so I've opened the link, and I'll do it this morning. One of the tests the doctor ordered, I know, was for coeliac disease (wheat is basically toxic for coeliac sufferers) - I'm eating quite a bit of poison this week (chocolate was on offer in Sainsbury's  ) but I think I'm going to go on a bit of a detox soon anyway.

Tired today, might have a little bit of a snooze, but I've been really looking forward to setting up the veg patch - might not do the actual mortaring of the bricks today, but I'll get everything up to the right level (*lots* of steps) and so on.

And I have a teeny free bet waiting for me at vc I *must* do, or I'll lose it soon, I think.

Thats all, she wrote. Have a good one.

Morning! How are you, GTD? Nappies? Matched betting? What's this book you've been telling Bob about?

I've had it for ages KC, sorry thought you knew. A lot of it is linked to Mr.B's snoring and now i just have to hear a slight rumble and i am awake for ages. I know it is that because when i went to DD1's in Cornwall i slept so well and felt so refreshed that i had forgotten how it felt:o
I am sure some of it is psychosomatic as well..if that is the right phrase! I read on one site that apparently, hearing snoring and lack of sleep, can raise blood pressure and affect allsorts. I know i have let it all overwhelm me lately and is probably why i feel like i do.
In all fairness he has gone to docs and consultant, however, if i go down to GP's they fob me off:mad: I am sure they don't take anything like this seriously and in the mean time i am awake at ridiculous hours, sleeping downstairs and getting more and more resentful.
I can deal with a lot of things but 7 years of this is just too much now:o

The book is on Google as is his seminar and website. Just Google, getting things done.

    Hiya
I did know you had a problem with his snoring .... sorry, I feel bad about this, I didn't realise how serious and how constant it was. Thats awful.

The spray that Shaun mentions - I know a couple of people who use that, not for snoring-stopping, but for general sinus problems, and its really good.

Came back on here originally to whinge about Virgin - no *wonder* I haven't updated my telecoms package before now. Its deliberately confusing. The first average monthly bill I was offered, was for £32.61 per month. Then a couple of days ago I was offered the same package for 12 months for £38.45 per month. And now I've hopped on to the website and there's a cashback offer and a monthly rental of £22.75 per month. Toerags! So I've cancelled the contract signing tomorrow.

Now I'll have to go over to the telecoms board on here - there's obviously lots of savings to be made, but I need to be really genned up, obviously. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • There is loads of savings, TALKTALK(phone and braoadband+cashback) are offering a new one. Combined with Sky package is far cheaper. Folks who i know who went over to Virgin after Sky can't wait to cancel and go back, but i am sure for everyone who says that equally there will be someone who says the opposite.

Re the snoring, none of those work, have tried alsorts in the past. He has been wired up for sound by the sleep clinic and has to have a minor op where he gets implants to lower the length of his pallet. He snores on his front, side and back..and it is bad. I can hear it downstairs too.
