:o Thank you! I view dfw and all its interesting little ways as my 2nd job. If I was still solidly busy from clients, I wouldn't have the brainpower left to do this stuff, but there are some days I don't have any clients, and many others when I just have one or two.

It makes me wonder tho - even at busy times, there used to be plenty of days when I only did 3 hours work. What on earth did I do the rest of the time? :o:confused: I read. I watched videos. I played about on the computer. Thats about it. To be fair to me, its almost impossible to go *out* when you've got 3 spread throughout the day, as they usually are, but still.

I still feel like I waste time - awful. I can switch the computer on after watching an hour or so of TV in the evening, and spend two or three hours on it playing a stupid computer game.... and that is a waste, it doesn't feed me, I don't sit back afterwards and think, I really enjoyed that. Its mad to do, but it really is addictive.

I do feel like I'm making progress tho - keeping really focussed on getting the dfw money into that one account, and then using it to pay off debt as soon as it got to the right amount, that felt great. If the worst comes to the worst, I can reclaim that money, but if not, it will help - the money outstanding on the mortgage is now getting down to the amount that my stupid endowment will pay out.

So now, it really is pushing to save up for the rewire and replumb. Thats my goal.

Yesterday was funny. Did a mystery shop on the way to London, but forgot whether I had to take a photo - might have needed to delay getting home even further, but I managed to text someone (thank you, oh mystery shop guru!) and I didn't need it.

Then in London, I was looking for cheap CD envelopes - poundshops in that part of London aren't really poundshops, 5 for £2! Even Ryman's was cheaper, at £1.49, so I got them there, madness.

And that was it - oh, no, I used a printed voucher to get 2 for 1 at Millie's, those cookies are gorgeous - no way I'd buy them at £1, but at 50p they're an occasional treat!

  • Morning Karmacat,

Sounds like you had a productive day yesterday, glad the mystery shopping went well. Did you save me a cookie???

I have (I think, not 100% sure) some small brown padded envelopes in the desk if you want them? I think that there is only 5 but might save you some money for a bit as I have no use for them. They are perfect for CD's and I used to use them when I flogged a load on E-bay last year.

Ooh, Tea, are you sure? I sell a fair few CDs on amazon, I have so many still to get rid of, that would be great.

Cookies .... if I can stuff one down the phone wire, its yours! :rotfl:

Karmacat, do you find CDs sell well on Amazon? What kind of CDs have you sold, and for what sort of profit?

Hiya ... they literally are things from my collection, which I only like one track of, or have never even opened.... I've just got my receipts from the last year here in front of me ....

    Ghost of Tom Joad
    Conversational Klingon
Dying to be heard (by Bill Mumy, that went for about £12)
    Kings of Cajun
Tragically Hip (Canadian Surfer was my fave!)
    Babylon 5
    El Condor Pasa
    Gloria Estefan
    Star Trek Astral Symphony
Cosmos CD (soundtrack to a Carl Sagan thing)
    Relaxation

Thats all I've got notes for in front of me - they don't go for much, except really specialised things - Bill Mumy was over here and selling his CDs himself - if its a couple of quid, thats good.

Do you have loads to sell? Looking back, it seems a lot of work - the total I've earned is only £118 or so, less all that postage.... at least I know tax isn't going to be taken off as well!

Hello! £118 is not bad at all - but I know what you mean about the work involved. I've just got rid of a load through that Music Magpie site, only got about 50p each on average but they send you freepost packaging, and don't have to bother with listing etc.

Anyway, hope you're having a good day x

I have sold a handful of CDs too - that's all I ever had - but my OH has a boxful somewhere. I think they are jazz funk things from the late 80s and early 90s. I will have to work on him to release them.
