Made a list of things to do before I go to visit my mum on Thursday.... it has 42 items on.... oops.... even if 42 is the answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything, thats quite a lot. Mind you, I've already done 7, some of them are quite tiny. Off to bed now - I think most people are, and I have two early mystery shops to go to.

Wowza on the list! I hope you get it all done!

Red, you cheeky mare! I'm still laughing at that one! :rotfl: :rotfl: Yes, thank you, I'm fit for company again!

Hey Dragon - I've now done 13 items on the list, but its grown to 47 :o:o .... oops. Mind you, the last one is about setting the DVD player to record some stuff while I'm away, its not exactly onerous.

I've been out for ages doing those two mystery shops, and spent a fraction over 50% of the money on transport between the two sites. Doesn't really matter, I came across the most magical village thats actually on the bus network of the place I live - it took the bus an hour and fifteen minutes to get to the centre of town, and some of that was on motorway and dual carriageway - I have *no* idea why even a bustling little village has that kind of clout, but I'm very glad it does, I'll go back there to have a mooch around when I want to get out of my usual surroundings.

Right, off to do the inputting now.

Just had the electrician in doing the earthing in preparation for the water meter, that all went smoothly, and I've got the certificates to prove it. My dual coil tank hasn't come in yet, so that work hasn't started, but at least I've emptied the immersion cupboard.

Just had a phone call! I've won flights to Caen (or Brazil :) , but I'm betting Caen) - its not dodgy, its the local tourist mag. I won something! Now I have to make sure I can afford to go!

Wow! Fab news on the win, that's brilliant! No spend or anything required? That's really cheered me up!

I won't even mention my day here, don't want to spoil the celebrations!

Wow, a free trip to Caen! How lovely! There are some really nice places round there. Steeped in history, both Norman (Falaise, birthplace of William the Conqueror is nice) and 2nd world war - you are right by the D-Day beaches. You should have a fabulous time. And as for Brazil........

    :hello: :hello: :hello:

    Hello!!!

I can't remember the comp, but its one of the local rags, so its not a scam thingy via voice message, I spoke to a real person. I'm not excited yet, I'll just see if its real.

I'm up to about 60% of my list, btw... and three are very long term emails that I don't mind abandoning before the holiday.
