Ahem. Well. Signals. Yes. I didn't listen AGAIN to the stuff I've spent 3 years learning!!! Rats! And even at single point figures, its a ridiculous amount, I can hardly bear to write it down.

Heaven only knows whats going on in the currency markets, but my tiny little signal at 8.20am would have earned 130 points by 9.25am - I'd have to have been out by then, because there was news due at 9.30, and it can go crazy at those times (it did, btw). Even the ftse, I had a good signal at ten past eight, as a scaredy cat it made 11 points, if I'd waited for an actual signal to get out it'd have made 23 points. I just threw away £153. Moron. I'm not going to think about how much that'd be at £10 point.

I don't entirely understand all that, but don't be too hard on yourself, you'll get there.

Know what you mean re the groceries, I guess we'll have to be more inventive as the months go on! Oh and where's your signature gone? ;)

Hi RS - to be honest, I think my annoyance with myself is a *good* thing - its kick-up-the-bum time!

The groceries - yeah, it concerns me. When I've done a bit more digging, I might have to get planting. There's an apple tree in the front garden - never used it, but bits of each apple would be stew-able :rotfl: from the sublime to the ridiculous!

The sig - don't worry, I used to delete my sig a lot from little posts. This time, I did it again because I am *so* annoyed with myself, I'm not going to put my details to such stupidity as not doing what I said I'd do, what I knew was right to do. Here it is: :T

(and by the way, before I press Submit Reply, thank you!)

Ahem. Yes, well, rant over. The universe found a way to give me my £160.... a client who left over 15 years ago wants some sessions while the current therapist is away.....

Ah yes, the universe is a wonderful place. I know it well - mostly from Doctor Who, of course! Off now to go see my partner, back later for lightspeed and you gov, both calling my name. When I eventually hit that £50 from you gov (I think its about £33.50 at the mo) I just hope I don't blow it on a couple of taxis and a bottle of champagne (sorry taxi!!).... :rotfl:

You're right. Sorry. I posted a quote from that Steenbarger book a couple of days ago, in response to a post of yours: "At the same time that traders need to dampen emotional reactions that skew information processing, they need to be sensitive the felt tendencies that capture their implicit knowing".

I'm used to focussing in on my emotions constantly, encouraging them in fact, deeply, to listen to the emotional truth of what my clients are saying. I've been doing it for so long it doesn't trigger any of my fear - it did as a trainee, of course - but I'm really going to have to stand back from it. I think I'm going to have to give the Steenbarger quotes a page of their own on my psychology notes.

Off to get a cup of coffee. Thanks, Z.

Tho I'm not actually trading yet, the energy is quite different. I'm not "trying to use the time cos I'm supposed to be trading but I know I won't" - which is what I was doing. Powerful.

Good for you, subtle but positive change of mindset... could be the way forward...

I'm supposed to be working but I can't be bothered :rotfl:
