No money making today, the opposite really. I realised I haven't bought myself clothes for so long that the majority of them are falling apart or don't fit anymore.... took advantage of the fact I am working from home for the next week or so and ordered myself a few bits and pieces online. Feels nice to treat myself (although part of me is thinking how long it'll take me to earn that back!) and ordered a really nice dress for the three weddings I have to go to this year (all with different people so I can wear the same thing!).

Still got more things to get, but think I have spent quite enough for now..

Must get back to the moneymaking, just feeling a bit lazy at the moment. Catching up on proper work and doing some spring cleaning instead.

Evening all. Had a busy couple of days - hope you're all doing well and making a few extra pennies where you can. :)

£44.61 from the past few days matched betting.

Hi all - just popping by on my lunch break. Loving that I can work from home this week and next week and as most people are on holiday this week, I can get tons of work done!

Attempting still to spring clean my house when I get pockets of time. I have done about half the house now and got a small pile of junk to go to charity. Also uncovered a handful of things worth selling, so may have to take a deep breath and dip my toe back into the eBay world.

Not much money making going on here really... just trying to organise my life and looking forward to spending time with baby over the 4 day weekend. Will start afresh in the April thread!

You sound so much more upbeat than you did a few days ago, Jess:j

Just don't tire yourself out with all that spring cleaning;)

Evening all. Popping on quickly inbetween episodes of the Blacklist (hooked! If you haven't watched it, and have access to it through Sky, do so.)

    £48.00 today.

Had a nice little bonus today (well sort of!). My student loan repayments are approaching their end date....well, into the last 12-18 months anyway. As a result they switch from salary repayments, to direct debit. Supposedly this helps ensure there are no overpayments made. Anyway, my last salary repayment was February's pay packet, and I don't start my direct debit repayments until May, so this month I'm about £70 in pocket :)

Love the blacklist Mike. Also have a long list of other programs I love.

all in that sort of elk.

well, since posting on this thread, I have sold something on ebay. Not checked how much fees are yet, so will look at some point.

also my DS won £5 on the chatterbox surveys. He has got to the stage where he hates doing them but was very excited to learn he had won £5, so think he will start taking an interest again. do Game take love2shop vouchers?

Lynne, i will try to catch you later today as need to set up new thread, if you are around for April.

Congratulations to everyone who has smashed their March target or is seeing the money trickle in more slowly (like me):T:beer:

I can't see any extra money on the horizon for the last few days of the month but, who knows, I might win the lottery:rotfl:

I did complete 4 short surveys for PA yesterday though. I'm never usually eligible for anything these days:( but 4 straight after one another was amazing:j. They were all low payers but every little helps as I plod slowly towards another payout. With any luck I might reach £20 by the end of April;)

I hope the sun is shining on you all today. It's glorious here for a change although it doesn't look as if the Easter weekend is going to be very good weather-wise:(. The outdoor car boot season starts this weekend but it's still too cold for me to stand outside for hours on end, plus the early mornings are too dark yet. Any excuse, eh?:o
  • Hi, I am popping in after a few weeks away (my laptop has been broken)...

Sending hugs to those in need today.

The weather is wet and cold so my plan to grow our own vegetables this year is still looking like a muddy lawn! I have bought the seeds and even been geeky enough to put the details on a spreadsheet... but they are waiting for the last frosts to go... pretty please

I have been adding up as the month went by on a post it app... mostly selling junk on eBay, books on amazon and stuff locally... added in with some quidco cashback, nectar points and several cash / vouchers aquired - mostly thanks to birthday and mothers day - all have gone into the household Pot for 'life / household costs' as I have everything I need...

I would love a chicken coop but plan on building one from free pallets and stuff from the recycling centre sales area! I just bought a wormery from there for £1 (so I can make worm tea for plant growth food) and I had been watching one on Amazon for £80...so glad I didn't buy it online now! does anyone else 'grow there own eggs?' I am not sure how many hens to get...There is an egg farm nearby and I can get cheap ex- commercial hens...

My total is so very close to my target! I wanted for my CC a nice £1240 (£40 a day) and have managed a respectable £1206.80... ALL of this has gone to the cc... slowly I am chipping away at it

I am not declaring this month yet though as I have a small zero hours job and have been pounding any available hours out this month... not had a payslip yet but it will be in march so fingers crossed it carries me over the threshold...

Good luck to everyone else with this months challenge. x
    Make £/day March: £1490.85 / £310
    Quidco £3,143.16 NSD Mar:14
    2024 Road Kill £1
    March Sales of Excess £240.85
  • Great to see you again, Milly-Ann-Molly:). Sorry about your laptop. I was laptop-less last year when mine died and it threw my whole world into disarray:eek::eek:

Congratulations on your money making:T. Impressive results, puts me to shame:o

Although we've lived in a very rural location for decades and have a massive garden we've never actually kept any hens:o. OH has planned to several times but for one reason or another never got round to it. One word of warning about relying on cheap ex-commercial hens that you can buy. The business that is offloading them is probably doing so because they're old and past being good layers. It's always nice to offer a new home to ex-commercial hens but sometimes they're not economically viable if you are relying on them for a regular supply of eggs. Just a thought for what it's worth.

I love your other self-sufficiency plans:beer:. Nothing tastes as good as newly dug/picked fresh fruit and veg:j. Kantankrus Mare has an allotment. When she's next here I bet she can give lots of useful advice.
