Well I have saved £13.00 in Boots as I bought some foundation from the No 7 range and it was 3 for 2. Should have totalled £27.00 but with the third item 3 plus a £5.00 voucher for my continued disappointment in not getting my revitalising foot cream. Started buying all my personal hygiene items from Wilkos and that has saved me About £5.00. I also ended up with body revitalising cream as in the end Boots let me redeem my coupon against that. I received a sarong and three lots of hair stuff for free using this website when I subscribed to Zest for 3 magazines for a £1.00. I have changed brands and use asda's economy kidney beans and tomatoes. I started using Asdas own brand herbal tea which was 38p for 20 but to my fury the price has gone up to about 76p. I also received £10.00 from Sainsburys because of lack of customer care. My personal money saving stands for May at about £100.00 although it got used for one offs that were unforseen. I received 4 free shower gels from Yves Rocher - nearly turned into a disaster as they charged me £21.00 instead of £4.00 but I received a refund cheque.

I am pleased though. Oh and I got nearly a £2,000 pay rise at work and am close to an official promotion so this time next year I should be a millionaire lol no such luck I should be about £2,000 better off next year too. Must just add that I dont see much of my pay rise as was overpaid on taxt last year so about £60.00 per month is lost. Ah well easy come easy go - such is life lol.

So far in June have got £10.00 off my yoga retreat for booking it early.

    Good luck to you all.

    Justine,

if you have a MorrisonsSafeway near you they have tetley herbal teas on BOGOF. So two for 79p each. I did buy two this morning as husband loves them. Smell gorgeous to me but taste vile. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Not sure when the offer last to.

    Good luck with the promotion.

This month was going so well until I spotted that I was going to go overdrawn due to a change in the way that we pay our rent (instead of monthly cheque I've now set up a monthly standing order to go out of my account a few days before the rent is due.) Now I need to work on stretching what money I have as far as possible. I have £20 in my purse and I can still withdraw money but I need to keep a really strict note and Money up to date so that I don't go overdrawn.

Last night I sat down with my PIN and the very end of my housekeeping for this week (plus DD's piggy bank simply for changing things out like £1 housekeeping for £1 of silver/copper from her piggy bank. I don't know what I would do without her piggy bank sometimes!) and I've managed to find enough money/change to put away 7 weeks worth of snack money for DD to take to nursery :j This means that I don't have to spend Friday mornings searching for 75p change to put in an envelope with her name on for her to pay in as it's already done, labelled and dated. Now I have less than £1 PIN out of over £6 combined, but it's worth it as I won't be spending any money today anyway :j

Did the shopping today and saved £3.77 in BOGOFs and offers. As Misterholic also gave me a fiver to bring me back down under budget, and extra 23p - wow - but that makes a total vPMS this week of £4.

My savings are currently virtual because I'm still living in creditland.

May aPMS worked out at just under 5% under target, even though I was on hols for 10 days of the month.

aPMS target is £60 again this month: total stands at £3.93, having used Boots points for a couple of essentials and recycled wrapping paper and ribbon for a pressie. I've got c. £40 lined up, so should meet the target no problem.

Keep up the impressive savings everyone!

I managed to blow £14 yesterday, I haven't a clue how I came to spend so much so easily but I know £2.50 went on paying the window cleaner for the last time, £5 was spent in Co-op, £1.50 spent on a "Liverpool in Istanbul" commemortive newspaper for grandad who lives in Lakes so wouldn't get one otherwise and I treated myself to a copy of Good Housekeeping at £2.80 (went through the till at the wrong price ;)). I did put all the change into my PIN pot though.

Today I went out and bought a window cleaning kit (£7.99) which means the windows can be done when they need it instead of when the man dains to grace us with his presence. I bought £10 worth of electric and some garden canes as I had none at all.

So currently I'm now going £60 overdrawn (instead of £120) I have £4.89 in PIN, £3.69 on my Asda card and £36 to last me 2 weeks. Easy

  • I have just reaslised I've had free gym membership since December. Paid 3 months up front to get a better deal (Oct / Nov/ Dec) with direct debit for the rest of the year. They haven't taken a single payment so I'm about £120 up. Of course, that £120 doesn't seem to be in my purse so I must have wasted it on something, but at least it's not £120 debt :)

This is technically stealing yoga, but my conscience is clear. I filled out the form properly, they got things wrong, I alerted them and filled it out again. They've chosen not to activate it. Not my fault.

Going to go to an extra session today!
