I have just started using white vinegar in my washing in place of comfort and have to say that I am very impressed. Towels are losing their cardboard like texture and becoming softer with no trace of a "vinegar perfume" so hopefully I can add the cost of a bottle of comfort (a regular buy in this household) to my pms savings this month! It's half term so I hope to be able to look at the rest of the cleaning thread and save loads moreOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Got my Tesco vouchers this morning. Only £6 worth
Still it's better than nothing. It will get better now I've trained dh to get his petrol from Tesco and put a keyfob card on his keyring. Now I have to put them somewhere safe so I don't lose them before December.

DD has just come down with chickenpox so for the first time in a long time Tescos online for the first part of this month - still think of the savings I'm making on petrol!
Plucked up the courage to try and make Laundry gloop so will be trying this on the daily load(s) tomorrow - if it is as good as Fairy tablets (need something soap based rather than detergent as ds gets rashes otherwise)then it will be a weekly saving of about £3-4.
Also refilled the liquid soap with cheap foam bath (21p/litre from Tesco) dh hasn't noticed so that's another £1 a week on average...
Well tried the Gloop and it worked really well on all but the spag bol my 1yo had smeared himself with (even though I pretreated with Vanish) will definitely be using it again for "normal dirt" !0 -

I must admit to not having counted pin money, quite often thats because it's not so much saving money & thus having it left in my purse, but spending as little as possible because there IS none in my purse! (if that makes sense!)
Although we do collect coins, & every so often I dig out the brown change from my purse & put it in a tin. Then make sure that it's bagged up & paid into savings account as soon as the bags are up to their quotas. I know that's not a lot at a time, but "every little helps" as one supermarket says.0 -
