  • Since February I have been volunteering two days a week at the local vaccination centre. I have loved this so much. This morning due to staff sickness I was trained on a new role that is more detailed than a volunteer role. Turns out this was a paid role, so I will get paid for the shift AND will be given the option of more paid shifts in the future!

it is only £12 an hour, the shifts are only four hours, and they will be taxed massively BUT it a little extra money to throw at the mortgage.

  • Just overpaid another £81.73 (to tidy it up) by my calculation just that overpayment covers the interest for the month.

on the job front sadly I didn’t get to the second round of the job that pays £70k+, I am mostly peeved as they didn’t even bother to send a generic thanks but no email. Have the second round for the role in another city that pays about £5k a year more than my current role but would be a big lifestyle change, potentially buying a second flat there etc. Fingers crossed it all goes well
