No spend day 8!
Wont be leaving the house today or tomorrow. I have done a meal plan and will be going shopping Wednesday and then Thursday. I am hoping to get my replacement driving licence sorted as well. Hope everyone has a good week.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -
Howdy folks.
My weekend update.
Saturday, due to Fridays walk where my faithful waterproof jacket gave up the ghost - went shopping for a new one. Now my old jacket cost £180 and lasted 29 years so good value for money as it was used most days. New one after Nat trust discount in cotswold clothing came out at £144. I bought a mans one as want to put a fleece under if it is really cold and others were tad snug.:o Not in my budget for this month but can't do without one.:( Called in a farm food shop and got a few reductions on veg and fruit on the way home - small spend £5.
Sunday snowday. but NSD
Got a text at 6.45 to say my new cooker was arriving at 7.15-7.45. So much for a lye in. Went out shoveling snow as it had drifted nr my door and had to dig old cooker out of another snowdrift. They arrived about 8.30 which was perfect as the gritter just been up my hill. Now my kitchen has this in the middle and gas fitter not looking lively until end of the week.
Decluttered bedrooms rest of day and fitted a new bath panel. Why have I so much stuff. Charity bag in car pop it to shop after work.
Today a no spendy day NSD 9/18

Hello,
spendy weekend (no SFDs). Needed kids birthday gifts and cards for the next few weeks and stocked up on paper party bags for my two (fillers bought cheaply on Amaz0n a while ago) in Asd@. DS needed new school shoes (Tesco used to do them for a tenner now they only seem to sell leather ones for 19 in our branch, see how long they last).
Also finally got our new front door fitted (in the snow storm as we didn't want to postpone again). So paid the man and bought stain, varnish and wood to replace the facing ourselves.
Although I had loads of dinners in I couldn't be bothered to cook and got us a fish and chips on Sunday.

NSD today - spent morning at work. Was due to pay for a Cubs activity tonight but it has been cancelled due to the poor weather. I *do* have an M&S order to place online - but the whole cost is covered by my Spa*rks bday gift (free socks), a reward voucher and gift vouchers OH had for Xmas, so am still claiming NSD as no money spent and the cost is all covered by freebies/ gift vouchers rec'd as a present
(am spending OH's gift vouchers on new boxers for him, a new bath mat and pedestal mat for the boys' bathroom (note - BOYS' bathroom - hence the need for the pedestal mat for the loo, as the wooden floor otherwise will suffer......) and a new school jumper for DS2 (lost one) - such exciting purchases...!!
)
Today I am grateful for hot tea, more hot tea, carrot cake and more hot tea!

NSD today 13/18
Did not go into work today as there was an issue with water coming through the ceiling in the bathroom from the flat above. Informed tenant
but she did not take any action. Phoned property maintenance company who contacted the landlord.
Grateful for:
Landlord sorting out the issue. Still there, but fingers crossed.
Did some of a jigsaw puzzle.
Mindfulness colouring.

NSD No 14.
Quite a productive day. Made stock for soup with the chicken carcass from yesterday and enough chicken left for sandwiches tomorrow. Changed all the bedding and it's washed and drying (it will not be ironed!)
I am actually in a bit of shock at the moment. The boy has just phoned me to say he's bought a flat. I went to see it with him on Friday night (it's lovely), he put in an offer this morning and it's been accepted. Wasn't expecting things to move that quickly. So will have to be re-doing our budget in the near future.
Off to have a glass of bubbly to celebrate and calm down.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

First day of temp job today, bit boring but it is just a week and the extra money will help. Took my own lunch and snacks.
Snowed here yesterday and this morning it was very icy, am planning to go for a run tonight but not sure how that will go with the pavements still having snow on them.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
