So a not very quick catch up. Had another week up at the house and the boys came along a day later. Had a lovely week and also a second viewing of the house, more on that later.

On the way home DS1 decided to help DS2 by filling his car up with petrol, its a diesel car! AAAGH. It was going to cost £180 +VAT to get the tank drained. So us being the tightwads we are decided to do it ourselves. Managed to get the car onto an industrial estate and then go and get the pipe, container etc to do it. It was an absolute sod but OH managed to get enough out to dilute it with more diesel. To cut a long story short it broke down 5 miles off Ballachulish on a dangerous bend. The police came to do traffic management and arranged recovery as DS2s couldn't organise a drinks party in an alcoholic establishment. So they got us back to their garage and drained fuel out of the lines. It cost £150 to be moved 5 miles plus the other stuff we'd bought. The moral of the story is don't be such a tightwad!

The second house purchase is slloowwwllyy making progress in the mortgage department. We are at the cold feet and should we be doing it stage. On paper it works and should be paid off in 10 years but as we all know things can go mammary skywards very easily.

Business wise things are going quieter after a difficult year. I forsee that next year could be as hard. My thinking being that people haven't used their mowers as much and therefor thinking that they don't need to get them serviced.

Ebay is still ticking over. OH and I had a day listing on Friday and now have a total of 1234 active listings.

Debt wise all payments are being made, still focusing on M&S as that's not on 0% and annoyingly no offers around to get it moved.

The person who was in the holiday cottage last week left it in a right mess. My cleaning angel sent some photos and I've forwarded them onto the holiday booking company to keep the housekeeping deposit. Never done that before, so we'll see how that pans out. I can't believe that 1 person has left it in such a state.

Oh dear at the car woes. Kids, huh? And insert angry face here at the people leaving the house in a tip. That's just rude.

Could you diversify your business to include whatever the weather opposite of mowing is? Like selling sunshades and garden furniture or something..?

Thanks for the idea, however there is a very large garden centre not too far away that would beat us hands down on prices.

Ah yes, that would be tricky. Well hopefully your fears will be unfounded.

So I'm officially another year older but not sure about the wiser bit. The actual day was a bit of a none event as I was on a course, however the badminton club did put a bit of a spread on.

Just about sorted for Christmas a last few bits and bobs to wrap. DD1 has only got Christmas day off and needs to be back on Boxing day. The joys of the babies growing up.

Still just plodding on debt wise, will try and refocus and come up with a cunning plan in the New Year

Thanks Brizzle. Not sure how good its going to be as my mum passed away today. She hasn't been mum for a long time due to her illness, still a shock though.

    Take Care everyone
