It’s always a funny day, the day before we leave. Started putting things back in the garage that we use when we’re here. Went to the pier with the dogs and spent ages watching a seal who was watching us, there was barely a ripple or a wave and you could hear a couple of other ones further out splashing around. Plumber is coming tonight at 6. Decided to catch the ferry back and have to be there for 9. Going to leave at 7 which will give us time to get fuel and a Costa
the chaps are at a party tomorrow night, it’s been postponed several times due to covid. They’ve asked to be picked up from the nearest village at some godforsaken time in the early hours. As they don’t ask for much one of us will get them. Meeting DS1 on Sunday for lunch as long as he isn’t too hungover and then go and have a look at the puppies. Then it’s back to work and reality.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Puppies are gorgeous and doing well. Their eyes are starting to open. Lunch was lovely and nice to catch up with DS1 and his GF.Went to Boundary Mill and bought some new towels for the holiday cottage as the housekeeper said they were looking a bit shabby. Had a voucher for an extra 10% plus everything was still in the sale. So bought 9 bath and hand towels, which I need to ship up to him. Could do with a couple of bath mats as well.Had the quote through for the stove. That’s going to go on the back burner ( pardon the pun) as it’s eye poppingly expensive and not urgent. Waiting to hear back from the plumber but I think it’ll be happening regardless.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

We really enjoy that ferry crossing L - our ideal route back from the lumps of rock further west is to drive down from Uig to Armadale and hop across to Mallaig - it's not worked because of timings the last couple of times though. we often use it on the way up when we can too purely on the practicality that it is FAR faster doing it that way than what always feels like a great long drag round past Eileen's Donut (as a pal of ours always refers to it!) as scenic as the castle is, I'd sooner not do an extra couple of hours driving to get to see it!

Really not keen on this working malarkey. Went out on Tuesday night for a friend’s birthday and a Burns night supper. It was good not to keen on the singing at the end my singing voice should be kept just for in the bathroom!
Told the stove chap it’s going on hold he wasn’t very happy with us but we’ve got to do what’s right for us. Not heard from the plumber he’s supposed to be going with the sparky to have a look at it.Took the dogs to the vets yesterday. 1 had her jabs ant the other 2 were for a health check. My old girl has lost a lot of muscle, she had a blood test to check the meds she’s on weren’t affecting her liver and kidneys. She’s got very stiff hips. They’ve recommended hydro therapy and some physio, so looking into that. My other girl is booked in for 9th February for a puppy scan.Had my first pt session of the year. Let’s say I was sore the day after!
