Back from our time away.  Birthday night went to a Michelin starred restaurant and it was really rubbish.  Did feel sorry for OH as he'd organised it.  There was no wow factor.  Sunday night in a nice hotel which was really good and will go back.  The staff were excellent.

Went out with some friends last night and had a nice meal.  Going out on Friday night with the badminton crew for an Italian meal.

Finally, today got lights back on in every room except kitchen.  Hopefully on Friday builders are coming and should get plaster board up but probably not skimmed till after Christmas.  OH took the dehumidfiers back yesterday.

Renewed my electric contract its doubled in price.  I will be reminding frequently (aka nagging) about turning lights off!

Still need to finalise our wills and pay for them.

Sorry the restaurant didn't live up to the hype. Glad the rest of your stay was positive and the builders have made some progress.

Well I've emptied the kitchen and Dd1s room as best I can.  The builders should be here any minute, really hoping they get it skimmed.  Absolutely dreading the mess and clean up operation afterwards.  We're off to badminton meal tonight so I doubt I'll get much done and then the dogs are at the groomers tomorrow.

    Newsflash...builders are here

Whoop the kitchen ceiling has been skimmed, just need it to dry then I can get the electrician to come and put the lights up.  Hopefully Wednesday/Thursday.  Still need DD1 and the hallway skimmed but not bothered if that's into the new year.  DD1 has done a magnificent job of cleaning everywhere in the kitchen that I didn't have to do any when I got home.

Nice meal out with the badders crew and even better DS2 was chauffeur.  Still need to wrap the ruddy presents, think that'll be tomorrow nights job.  Have written all the cards, every year I do less and less.
